Nathan didn't get out of bed. He pulled Ivy closer into his arms.
In truth, his internal clock had already woken him up around six. With Ivy asleep against him, warm and soft, he hadn't wanted to move.
Nathan looked at her flushed lips. "Tired?"
Ivy knew exactly what he meant. "Not at all."
Nathan reached out and brushed his thumb over her lips. "You've got a little spot here where the skin's broken."
Ivy shot him a mock glare. "That's your fault. Don't pretend you've got nothing to do with this."
Nathan curved his lips indulgently. "Alright. My bad."
The air grew a little charged. Ivy stared straight at him. "What are you still doing in bed?"
Nathan raised a brow instead of answering. "What do you think?"
Ivy smiled, her hand landing on his abs and sliding lower. "Who knows what you're thinking?"
Nathan's throat tightened, heat flashing instantly in his eyes.
Ivy laughed. "I just realized you're really good at pretending."
"What do you mean?" Nathan asked.
"You always looked so cool and restrained, but you actually have a very high libido."
Nathan leaned down, clearly about to kiss her.
Ivy laughed and dodged. "Hey, stop!"
The two of them ended up laughing together on the bed.
Just then, a knock sounded at the door. Wanda's voice came from outside. "Mr. and Mrs. Lowe, are you up?"
Ivy immediately pushed Nathan away. "Yes, we're up!"
"Alright. I've made breakfast. I'll be waiting for you two downstairs."
Ivy turned to Nathan. "We really should get up."
She climbed out of bed.
Nathan had no choice but to follow. He was already aware of the change in himself. He was getting more attached to Ivy, wanting to be with her all the time.
