The Heartbreak Prescription (by Glazed Snow) novel Chapter 1127

Ivy froze completely. Her mind went blank, as if her brain had crashed.

Deep down, she didn't really care that much about whether Nathan had anything going on outside their relationship. What she cared about was whether something like this would affect her chances of getting pregnant.

Just a moment ago, she thought Nathan was angry. She never expected him to bring in the executives just to explain that he hadn't been cheating on her.

Ivy had always believed that all men were the same, just like her father, Edric.

But at this moment, she could clearly feel that Nathan was completely different.

Nathan and Edric lived in two totally different worlds.

Nathan looked at Ivy. "Did you hear what they just said?"

Ivy snapped back to reality. "What…?"

Nathan held out his hand. "Come here."

He motioned for her to walk over, so Ivy went to him.

Nathan grabbed her wrist and pulled her toward him. Ivy dropped onto the couch beside him.

Nathan chuckled. "Did you hear what they said or not?"

Ivy nodded. "I heard them."

"So you understand now. I have nothing to do with that woman," Nathan said.

Ivy paused for a second.

"I got it." Then, she apologized on her own. "I'm sorry. I misunderstood you just now."

Abbott and the others quickly echoed her.

"Yes, Mrs. Lowe. It really was just a misunderstanding!"

"We'd feel awful if this caused any trouble between you and Mr. Lowe!"

Nathan stood up and looked at Ivy. "Get up."

One moment, he told her to come over. The next moment, he told her to stand up.

Nathan wasn't someone who showed his emotions easily, but Ivy could clearly sense that he wasn't in a good mood.

Even after she apologized, his mood hadn't improved.

Madge wasn't scared in the slightest. "Oh, please! We'll see who's gonna regret it in the end."

Just then, the door opened. Nathan and Ivy walked in.

Lottie and Juliet's eyes lit up instantly. They had been waiting for Nathan to come deal with this. After all, they were the injured ones.

"Mr. Lowe!" Lottie called out.

"Mr. Lowe, Lottie got hit," Juliet quickly said. "You have to stand up for her!"

Madge moved beside Ivy. "Ms. Ivy."

Ivy gave her a small nod, telling her not to worry.

Nathan's handsome face showed no emotion. He looked at Lottie calmly.

"Someone hit you?"

Lottie knew that with a man like Nathan, she had to look pitiful.

Her eyes immediately turned red, and she said softly, "Yes, I was hit. I was only trying to buy you cigarettes, but they bullied me instead!"
