The Heartbreak Prescription (by Glazed Snow) novel Chapter 1126

Ivy could only let go of Nathan.

"Do you not feel anything for me anymore?" she asked.

"What do you think?" he replied. "You thought Lottie was my woman. If I already had a mistress outside, then not feeling anything for you would be the normal thing, wouldn't it?"

Ivy's face went pale in an instant as panic rose in her chest. If Nathan really had no feelings for her, how was she supposed to get pregnant?

If nothing else worked, she decided she would give him pills that could keep a man going all night.

Nathan watched her beautiful eyes dart around, clearly plotting something. He grew even more irritated.

He pushed her aside and started walking toward the door.

Was he leaving?

"Nathan!"

Ivy panicked. She rushed forward and grabbed him from behind.

"Please don't go."

Nathan's voice was cold. "Let go."

He was truly angry. She hadn't contacted him the entire day, and when he finally saw her tonight, she was so tolerant and polite toward someone she believed was his mistress.

He knew her. She had pride and good manners. She would never lower herself to fight with a bar hostess over a man. She would look down on that.

Still, her calm attitude was like throwing fuel on his frustration. It felt like she didn't care about him at all.

He had wanted her to question him, to be jealous, to want him for herself.

Instead, she acted as if none of it mattered.

Ivy held him tighter. "I'm not letting go. Don't leave me."

Nathan pried her fingers off one by one, then walked away without turning back.

They all greeted her. "Hello, Mrs. Lowe."

Ivy nodded. "Hello."

Nathan glared at them. "I knew you were listening at the door."

He shut the door again and walked back inside, taking a seat on the couch. He looked at Abbott and the others.

"This is my wife. She misunderstood and thought that Lottie was my woman. Mr. Cross, you brought Lottie in, so explain everything clearly to her."

Ivy paused, unsure of what Nathan meant by that.

Abbott rushed to explain. "Mrs. Lowe, it was a huge misunderstanding. Lottie isn't Mr. Lowe's woman.

"Yeah, Mrs. Lowe, how could you think that? We were all in the private room. Mr. Cross brought Lottie in to keep Mr. Lowe company, but he never even looked at her."

"Mr. Lowe said he was married and didn't want you getting jealous. So, he gave her his VIP tag and sent her out to buy cigarettes. We never expected her to run right into you! We can all testify that Mr. Lowe and Lottie met for the first time tonight, and nothing happened at all."
