The Ex-Wife's Burning Elegance novel Chapter 2150

Hearing Queenie's venomous outburst, the last remnants of warmth vanished from Aurora's face.

"So, you're admitting you told him the truth about me faking the first love identity just to gain his trust?"

Queenie had originally planned to use Aurora to crush Stella.

Instead, not only had Aurora failed to lay a finger on Stella, but she had publicly humiliated herself in the process. At the high-stakes car race, Aurora hadn't just lost—she had been utterly destroyed.

And clearly, Joshua hadn't treated Aurora any differently just because she claimed to be his 'white moonlight.'

It wasn't hard to figure out why. Aurora was a married woman with a child; Joshua obviously had zero interest in her.

Did Aurora seriously still think she was the untouchable, pristine goddess from her single days?

Queenie scoffed coldly. "Think whatever you want. I am so sick of you dragging your feet and wanting everything your way without putting in the work.

Stella holds all the real power now. Do you honestly think you can still stage a comeback? Keep dreaming.

Without your army of pathetic simps, you are absolutely nothing!

Three years ago, if you and Jonathan hadn't been so obsessed with scheming against Hayser—only to get outplayed by Stella—would I have ended up as collateral damage in your stupid little war?"

Struck right in her deepest insecurity, Aurora's gaze turned icy.

"Collateral damage? You got played because you tried to destroy Stella.

If you hadn't hired a guy to sleep with her, would you have been the one caught in bed in front of all those cameras?

Marrying Jonathan was a massive step up for you, Queenie. Don't bite the hand that feeds you."

Queenie let out a harsh, mocking laugh.

"I grew up in the Burton family. I am a legitimate heiress. Do you think I'm some pathetic, unpresentable illegitimate child like you?

Do you think I've never seen the world? That I've never experienced wealth?

Tsk, tsk... 'A massive step up'?

What, do you think I was sleeping on the streets before I joined the Williams family?

Whatever he does to me, I guarantee he'll do ten times worse to you!"

She violently yanked her arm free and stepped toward the doors.

Aurora wasn't about to let her ruin everything. She lunged again, grabbing Queenie by the shoulders.

The two women grappled aggressively at the hospital entrance, neither able to overpower the other.

Finally, losing the last of her patience, Aurora drew back and delivered a brutal slap straight across Queenie's face.

Smack!

Queenie froze, her struggling coming to a dead halt.

"You hit me?" She clutched her stinging cheek, her eyes turning dark and unhinged as she stared at Aurora. "You actually hit me?!"

Aurora stared back, her expression frigid. "I was just helping you calm down."

That slap didn't calm Queenie down at all. It acted like a lit match dropped into a powder keg.
