The Ex-Wife's Burning Elegance novel Chapter 2251

Because the bullet had hit him.

In the next second, the gun slipped from Jonathan's grasp, clattering onto the floor.

It all happened so fast.

So fast that no one had time to react.

Stella stared at her empty hands, then looked over at Joshua standing beside her, holding the smoking gun. It took her a long moment to process what had just happened.

From Joshua snatching the gun to pulling the trigger, it had occurred in the blink of an eye.

His movements were impossibly fast; she hadn't even registered what was happening.

Seeing Joshua act with such brazen arrogance, shooting his eldest son in front of everyone, Skyler roared in fury.

"Joshua, what the hell do you think you're doing?!"

Joshua casually blew the wisp of smoke from the barrel, an easy, effortless smile on his face.

"Didn't Miss Williams just call me a psycho? Naturally, I'm having a psychotic episode."

He toyed with the weapon, his gaze sweeping over their terrified faces with a mocking glint.

"Knowing I'm sick and still daring to provoke me—I have to admit, you're all incredibly brave.

Come on, keep going. Let's see if I have the nerve to kill every single one of you."

The moment the words left his mouth, he aimed at Jonathan and pulled the trigger again.

Bang! Bang!

Two more bullets tore into Jonathan's body. He collapsed in a heap, instantly losing consciousness, his fate uncertain.

Witnessing Joshua's terrifying, unhinged display of dominance, Skyler's legs gave out. He stumbled backward, nearly crashing to the floor.

Thankfully, Coleman caught him just in time.

Trembling violently, Skyler pointed a shaking finger at Joshua, his lips quivering.

"Y-you..."

Joshua completely ignored him, turning his piercing gaze onto Aurora.

He offered her a chilling smile. "Miss Williams, as a psycho, my memory is a bit shot. What was it you were saying earlier? Care to repeat yourself?"
