The Blue-eyed Wolf In The Woods novel Chapter 62

I looked over to where Belle was still standing over the stove.

My eyes widened.

Her eggs were burning!!

"Belle! Your eggs!" I screamed!

"Shit!!" She turned off the stove and took the pan over to the sink.

She ran cold water over the seared eggs.

Once they were cooled off she threw them in the garbage.

"Sorry I didn't mean to ruin your breakfast." I told her sadly.

"It's okay, I've lost my appetite..." She replied blankly.

"Belle, we think he also killed our history teacher, Mrs. Harte. She's been missing and no one knows where she's gone. Travis said they haven't been able to identify anyone yet because the victims were all humans, and not part of their pack."

"Shit. Oh my God. This is discusting. I don't know how I'll ever be able to look at him again."

"I'd know. But we can't let him know we're on to him. Travis' pack is planning to stop him. He can't know that we know or it won't work."

"What are they planning?" She questioned.

"I... I don't know. Hopefully something that will stop him."

I sighed. "We should head to school or we'll be late. I don't think we should tell Mia, she won't believe us. She'll just think I have a crazy ass imagination and that I've dragged you into it. But we can't let her be alone with Dom. So just keep an eye out."

"Will do." She said seriously.

We each drove to school in seperate cars but arrived at the same time.

We walked in together heading to each of our lockers before we headed into Math.

As we approached mine, I could see the messy sandy hair sticking out above the crowd, waiting for me to come over to my locker.

"Damnit. He's there. Belle. I don't know if I can handle it. What am I supposed to do?" I whined urgently to her.

"Just act like Krystal; kinda bitchy, always zoning out, but respectful, and apologetic of said bitchiness." She laughed as she described my most amiable traits.

"Thanks." I mumbled through gritted teeth.

She was right. That was me in a nut shell.

As we got closer I could see Dom's hair was messed up and flying every which way and he was tapping his foot anxiously and looking around wildly like he was afraid something was gonna pop out at him.

"Hi Krystal." He said softly as I approached.

His voice was missing it's usual cheery timbre.

"Hey." I replied as I grabbed some books. I refuse to look him in they eye.

The principal continued, "Early this morning I was notified by the Trenton police department about the recent murders of 7 fellow town members. They are claiming it to be animal attacks. All victims have been dragged into the woods and mauled to death. It is truly a horrific event to have occurred in our community and the police, and I as well urge you to all stay out and away from the woods. Services for both teachers will be held at St. Paul's in downtown Trenton on Sunday. I hope to see some of you there. Now if we could all have a moment of silence for the passing of these two wonderful teachers...."

A moment passed. "Be safe." Dr. Knotman ended with.

Holy. Crap.

Everyone in class started looking at eachother.

Some kids were crying. Some had their mouths gaping in shock. Some had a look of silenced horror on their face.

But everyone looked like they were effected by the news.

This couldn't be happening.

He killed 2 teachers.

A total of 7 people.

I was going to be sick.

I looked over at Belle, she looked distraught.

Even Mia looked both sad and scared in her seat on the other side of me.

"Good morning class. I am Mrs. Walker. I will be taking over for Mrs. Ryan. I understand this is hard news to take in. If anyone needs to be excused to the councilor, you may do so. Otherwise we will be quietly reviewing in our workbooks for the remainder of the period." Mrs. Walker said to the class from her seat behind Mrs. Ryan's desk.
