The Blue-eyed Wolf In The Woods novel Chapter 61

Finally I realized Travis calmed down a bit.

"There's nothing to be upset about, except that es been killing people. That needs to stop. I don't know how, ot what we have to do, but we need to figure it out. And soon. I don't know what I'll do if he ends up killing anymore people." I said sadly.

Travis just looked at me.

The he turned his head up to the sky and howled.

I knew he was saying he would figure it out.

But everytime I heard his howl, it resonated something deep in my soul.

We sat for a while just watching eachother, when finally I must have fallen asleep because the next thing I knew I was being woken up by his wake-up howl.

I smiled as I got up and went inside to get ready for the day.

I didn't know how I was going to face Dom, but I knew it wasn't going to be easy.

It was basically confirmed that he'd killed our history teacher Mrs. Harte.

And a bunch of other people from town!

How freaking terrible is this?

I needed to tell Belle, to warn her about him.

Part of me wondered if I should tell Mia.

But she probably wouldn't believe me.

She'd tell me I had a wild imagination or something like that.

And then go on about how I should give Dom a freaking chance.

Since I was up at dawn, woken by Travis' howl, I decided to get ready extra early and head over to Belle's before school.

She was always up extra early, so I knew she'd be up and getting ready for school, even though it was 5:30 am.

Today was cold, which made me sad, because it made me realize I probably wouldn't see human Travis.

I dressed in black jeans, which were hand-me-downs from Belle and a grey and black striped sweater with a blue scarf and my Classic Doc Marten boots.

I threw my leather jacket over my sweater and hurried downstairs to quickly make some coffee and grab a granola bar and some fruit.

"By Mom, see ya later!" I called out to her as I started to leave.

"Wow. You're leaving early!" She said. "You're never out the door before 6! Where are you off to?"

"I'm going to Belle's, we're gonna go over some Math notes. There's a quiz today." I replied.

"Okay! Good luck! Love you!"

"I am yours, and you are mine." I said as I kissed him one last time on his nose and climbed into my car and started my drive to Belle's house.

When I got there I went right through the front door and called out for Belle.

She answered me from the kitchen as she was making some eggs for breakfast.

Leave it to Belle to be up early enough to cook breakfast.

"Wow. You're up super early. Couldn't sleep?" She asked.

"Wait, what the hell happened to you yesterday after school? All o a sudden we're walking outside together. The next, your running towards a devilishly sexy man standing by your car, without so much as a word to me. Wait... was that... was that man... Oh my God... It had to be, right? It was Travis, wasn't it?!" She finished her questioning with a sense of excitement, like she just figured out the puzzle, or cracked the case.

"Yes, that was him." I answered.

"Dear lord almighty. He was handsome. Mia will FREAK when she sees him... What'd he want? He looked kinda pissed."

"He was. He doesn't like Dom. And that's what I've come here to tell you about. Sit down." I told her sternly.

"Woah, is this something serious?" She asked.

"Yes. Sit." I paused. "Where do I start..." I sighed.

"The beginning." Belle said.

"Okay, remeber Callum's party, and how Dom tried to rape me?" I asked. She nodded. "Well when Travis' wolf came to save me, he ripped Dom off of me by biting his arm. Apparently there's two ways to become a werewolf, you're either born one, or made one, by being bitten. Travis bit Dom. It turned him into a werewolf. But the problem is, no one figured it out until it was too late. And Dom has been all alone, not knowing how to control himself. Travis thinks he's going crazy. He didn't think anything of thw bite until dead bodies started showing up in the woods. Ripped apart. His pack didn't know who did it because they couldn't recognize the scent left by the wolf who was killing people. Except Travis did. He knew Dom's smell because he had been near him before. And now his smell is all over the dead bodies."
