The Blue-eyed Wolf In The Woods novel Chapter 60

I was feeling light headed, partly from the kiss that I just shared with Travis. And partly from the news about Dom.

But that kiss.

Oh my God.

It was, by far the most amazing kiss I've ever had.

Not that I've actually had many kisses.

I've been too enthralled with my wolf for the past 10 years to even notice boys existed.

Until now.

There is a very real, very sexy boy... MAN, who just told me were practically soul mates!

What!?!?!

Soul mates?

Mates?

I didn't even know such a thing existed until today.

Maybe part of me already knew.

But what the hell was I going to do about Dom!?

He's been going around killing people!!

How could he do that?

Was he that much of a monster?

Did he know he was doing all this?

How was I supposed to face him tomorrow, or ever again.

I started to feel sick as I turned from the door to walk up to my room, where I'd get ready for bed and then continue the ritual Travis and I have had for the past 10 years.

I was stopped in the hallway by my Mom.

"Well sweetie, he was certainly cute. Have you known him long?"

"Yes, since elementary school, but he was always older."

"Well, a few years doesn't mean much." She replied. He green eyes were darker than mine, like the leaves of a pine tree. She was small and lithe like I am, and had shortly cropped wavy brown hair.

Her clothes were dirt stained because she was always out gardening near the woods, which brought me to remember how dangerous Dom was.

"Mom, Travis said that the family of deer that was injured are in really bad shape. He said something in the woods attacked it, and it may still be out there, and dangerous."

"You mean, an animal, like one of the wolves?" She asked.

"He's not sure. But he said the woods are dangerous right now, until they find the animal that's been hurting all the deer."

"Okay honey, I'll stay away from the woods until Travis deems ot safe." She said with a bright smile. "I thibk I like this Travis guy... Why don't you invite him over for dinner this weekend?"

"Maybe Mom, he might be busy, and have other plans." I thought sadly.

Then he started to bark and run around again.

This made me laugh, if he wasn't the silliest animal I had ever met...

He finally calmed down and settled down on the ground below, just at the edge of the tree line, where my property the woods.

"I told my Mom to stay out and away from the woods. I don't want her in any danger." I told him.

He said nothing, obviously but stared at me intently.

"What am I going to do about Dom? He follows me everywhere, and hasn't let up all week. He brings me flowers and kisses me, and..." All of a sudden there was an extremely loud growl coming from below.

A noise like that would scare anyone in their right mind half to death.

"Well not really kissing me, like on the cheek, but still, now that I know he's a murderer, I went be amble to stand being near him."

Travis was still seething down below. He was pacing back and forth and growling every so often.

"Travis relax. I don't like him, I just can't get rid of him." I replied.

"Don't worry. There's never been anybody else. It's always been you." I wanted to calm his anger down and soothe his uneasiness.

But I knew he must really hate Dom.

We needed to do something about Dom.

But what? I couldn't be sure.
