I walked into the cafeteria to find Mia and Belle at a table with Callum, Dom, Tohm Strider, and Kacey Ingram, Stefanie Wheeler, Tracy Spring, and Jack Day.
Double ugh.
This was why I didn't want to hang out with Dom, or any of these people for that matter.
They all sucked.
"What's up wolf girl?" Kacey sneered from her spot at the table, hanging on Tohm's arm.
"Not much, you know, maybe if you weren't such a ferocious bitch, wild animals would actually want to be near you and then you'd be able to admire their beauty like I can. But... it seems like that will never happen, so you can keep on being content with basically every walking, living creature thinking your an A class Asshole. Doesn't bother me." I smiled sweetly back at her.
Belle and Mia chuckled.
"You know she's right, she does take some amazing shots of the wolves and deer and birds and other beautiful parts of nature in the woods. As well as paint them. She's gonna end up with a full rode Art scholarship to any school she wants. Maybe of you were nice the animals would let you get close enough to pet them" Mia snarled in her direction.
"Close enough to eat you, maybe." Belle retorted with a laugh.
Callum and Dom laughed at this.
"Okay, we're all friends here right? Let's settle down. We don't have to be at each others throats all the time." Tohm chimed in.
He may be the only sane one in that group.
God only knew what he saw in Kacey.
Long legs. Small waist. Huge boobs. Practically never wearing clothes. That's what he saw.
Guess he wasn't really much different from any other guy.
"Whatever. She's a freak. Why should any of them be sitting with us?" Stefani asked.
"Beacuse I invited them." Dom snarled in her direction as he slammed his fist down on the table.
Stefani shrank back from his outburst.
"As did I." Callum said as he smiled and scooted closer to Mia.
Gross. Gag me.
All three girls made a disgusted favce and turned themselves away from our part of the table.
"Don't listen to any of them. I think your great. Even if you happen to like big bad wolves..." Dom said close to my ear making me shiver, not in the way I craved. His breath was hot and sticky, and made me feel a deep terror inside my bones that I've never felt before. I just looked up at him, surprised he made me feel that way. I inched closer to Belle so I could get away from his grasp.
I thought to myself, did I really have a choice?
"Sure, Belle and I are going to AP Chem." I replied.
Belle got up and started walking on the other side of me.
I realized that Dom still had a hold on my hand so I let go abruptly and held on the my books with both hands.
I could see him frown from the side of my vision.
I couldn't let his hurt feelings get to me. I was still sticking by that 'No Boys' thing.
Even if it wasn't working out too well...
"You can go to your class now, don't you have gym, on the other side of the school?" I asked Dom as we got to my locker.
"Yes, but I can be late." He replied, with a smile as he leaned into the locker next to mine as I rifled through mine for the right books.
"No really, we need to you know... Talk about what we're going to wear to your party on Friday!" Belle explained in her girliest voice.
