She thumps me again, and I snarl at her.

“Were you? Were you using me this whole time, Sebastiana?” I snarl back.

“FUCK YOU, SHANE!” she yells, thumping me again. “Don’t you remember who my family is? Has it even crossed that pea-sized brain of yours that I was raised by two previous instructors at the Academy? That my uncle and one of my brothers are current instructors at the Academy. That my other brother is currently number one on the leaderboard? That my parents’ friends and their kids have been or are instructors at the Academy? THAT’S the bloodline I come from. THAT’S the training that I’ve received my entire life! What about you, Shane? Hmmm? Any leaderboard names in your family? I don’t think so. But yet, they mention that I’m using you to get myself on the leaderboard and suddenly you believe them over everything that you’ve learned about me in the last year and a half. FUCK YOU!”

This time she punches me in the shoulder, knocking me sideways

“And do you know the worst part of it all?” Her voice quivers and her eyes fill with unshed tears. “As angry as I am at what they did, you believing them hurts so much more. I gave my body to you Shane. I trusted you with things that I’ve never told anyone else. I fucking learned how to be a Luna to help YOU run your pack while Enya was here! Do you think I did that because I was using you? I CARE about you, Shane. THAT’S why I did it. Do you think I would give a fuck if they tried that shit with anyone else here? No Shane, because I haven’t shared my life with anyone else here, like I have with you. And you’re so stuck in your own fucking head that you can’t see it. And if you think, for one minute, that my brother is after your pack, then you’re even more of an asshole that I thought. He’s done NOTHING but help you and this is how you repay him? By doubting him? FUCK. YOU!”

She spins on her heel and turns to Alpha Ezra.

“And don’t think I don’t know your part in this. You had to get me away from him so they could get in his head. Every one of you knows I would never have stood by and allowed you to use me like that. So fuck all of you, too,” she snarls at the instructors before stomping off.

“Class is not over, Sebastiana.” Dane calls out to her.

She spins around on him so fast, I swear he jumps.

“I’m leaving. If you don’t like it, you can fucking kick me out. I’m not sure I want to attend an

Academy that treats its students like you have anyway,” she snarls, then turns and stomps away.
