The Alpha Train (Christina and Sebastian) novel Chapter 454

Chapter 46

Shane

I barely slept last night. My mind was going over every interaction, every word, every thing that I’ ve ever said or done with Christian and Sebastiana. Hell, even my sister entered into it. She’s an Alpha, now mated to an Alpha who doesn’t have a pack. She’s pregnant. Maybe she DOES want a pack of her own. Would she betray me like that?

The fact that I can’t answer that question kept me up all night. Why can’t I answer that question? Why can’t I trust my own sister?

When I get to breakfast, I expect Sebastiana to jump at me, wanting to work things out. I’m surprised when she’s nowhere to be found. I sit with our friends and I realize that no one is talking.

“Cole?” I ask. He looks up at me, his eyes looking as wrecked as I feel.

“When?” I ask.

“Yesterday afternoon.”

I nod, looking at Cassie. “You?”

“Same.”

I look around the cafeteria. Hardly anyone is eating, no one is speaking. We’re a class of broken Alphas.

We sit in silence, all of us lost in our own thoughts as we pick at our food. When it’s time for class, we all stand and put our still nearly full trays of food in the garbage. I know I should eat, but every forced bite I took tasted like sandpaper and felt like lead in my stomach.

“Where’s Sebi?” Cassie asks as we walk out.

“I don’t know,” I say, surprised she hasn’t arrived yet. It’s not like her to miss class. I small part of my brain reminds me that if the Academy really is what’s most important to her, she’d be here, even if I did hurt her feelings yesterday.

When we get outside, I watch Dane look around the group, frowning. He leans over to Ryan, who is also scanning the group. Ryan frowns and shakes his head. Both Ryan and Dane’s eyes go

unfocused, and I’d guess they’re asking their mates to search for Tiana.

“Well, young Alphas, you all look a bit wrecked this morning. Anyone want to ride The Beast?” Dane asks, just as I hear Alpha Jackson muffled exclamation.

“Oh shit!”

The group begins murmuring and then parts like the Red Sea.

I’ve heard it, multiple times. I’ve heard it from her family, from their family’s friends, hell, I’ve even heard it from the instructors. But I’ve never seen Hurricane Sebastiana. Until now. There’s no other description for the woman who currently has her furious gaze set on me. Anger and wrath are blowing off of her in such enormous waves that everyone takes another step back as she

passes.

She walks straight up to me and slaps me across the face. Hard.

“Fuck you,

I growl.
