Chapter 38

“We should definitely do that,” she says, her body shivering against mine.

“Then let’s get some food so we can get to class.”

After class, I change things up by taking Tiana out to the woods and stripping the robe off her before taking her against a tree, on her knees, and then on her back. By the time we returned to the dorms, nearly everyone was asleep, or at least in their rooms for the night. I pulled her into my room and after making her come several more times, I curled up around her, burying my face in her hair and breathing in her scent as I fell asleep.

The next morning, unlike Thursday when we had Sparring class first thing, Tiana and I woke slowly. Without any classes to get to, I took advantage of having her naked body in my bed and pressed against me. Starting my day inside Tiana is one of the best feelings in the world and it set the tone for a fantastic weekend.

I had no idea how much we were both going to need this weekend before hell week broke us.

The weekend with Shane was awesome. We spent time studying, spent time with our friends, and spent time in each other’s arms. I’m not sure what it means, but I’ve felt myself falling in love with Shane. We never talked about the future. We wouldn’t since we’re both underage and can’t recognize the mate bond, but I know Enya felt the pull to Christian before she turned eighteen. I have to wonder if that’s what this is. Something deep inside me really hopes it is. I never considered myself Luna material. I’m much too loud and boisterous for that. But the idea of becoming Shane’s mate and Luna calms my wolf and makes something settle inside me.

However, Monday changed everything. The moment we walked out to the sparring field, I could feel the change in the instructors. We all could. Gone was the friendly, encouraging group of instructors we started with a week ago. In their place, were the hardcore Alphas set to break us.

And it started right away.

Nicholas went down first. I’m not sure if they wanted to let all of us know what was coming, or if they thought he’d be easiest to break.
