Mia also chimed in, "When I had Henry, I was still doing my undergrad. Aside from a couple of classes a day, I didn't have many chores. Even with it being that easy, I still took a year off to stay home and look after my little tiger.
I think Annie makes sense. Even though parents will help out with the kids, once you become a mother, it's impossible to just hand the child to the grandparents and completely check out. Just with breastfeeding alone, you can forget about ever getting a good night's sleep."
Both Annie and Mia spoke from experience, and Milka took their advice to heart. She replied, "It's true what they say, crossing the river is much easier when someone else has already paved the way."
Little Lizzy had no idea what her mom and godmothers were talking about. She had finished her formula and was holding the bottle with her little hands, playfully biting the nipple with her tiny teeth.
Outside the room, it was a man's world. Little Henry sat in Asher's lap, listening to his dad call Asher by his nickname. The confused little boy asked, "Godfather, why does my dad call you Grandpa?"
Asher froze for a second, then threw his head back and burst into laughter.
His laughter was accompanied by Andre's furious roar, "Henry, get over here!"
After getting a swift kick to his little butt from his dad, Henry realized that his dad and all his other godfathers were now calling Asher by his first name.
Asher teased, "Son, with that one question, you ruined all the fun I was about to have."
Henry was still stuck on the fact that his dad had kicked his butt, utterly bewildered.
"Dad, where did we lose Mom again?"
In the nursing room, they heard the little guy shouting for his mom.
Mia heard it perfectly well. "I'm not going out. Let's see how long it takes this little rebel to actually call me Mom."
"Kitty?"
