Sweet Mischief’s Rollercoaster Romance novel Chapter 1646

Other kids needed five minutes to learn something new, but her son could pick up the whole routine in just five seconds.

Guess he really did get his parents’ best genes.

When practice wrapped up, none of the kids went back to their lines—they all dashed straight to their moms, eyes bright and eager, waiting for some snacks to refuel.

“This one’s too spicy, sweetheart. You can’t have it,” Mia said.

Henry puffed up. “I can eat it~”

Mia grinned. “Okay, stick out your tongue and just give it a little lick.” Ever since Henry figured out how to push her buttons, Mia had loosened up a lot, letting him try just about anything.

Henry stuck out his tiny tongue and licked the spicy chip. Instantly, his cheeks turned tomato red. He started making little whimpering noises, almost in tears, so Mia quickly handed him her bubble tea from the delivery order.

“Oh, and by the way, honey—I forgot to mention, I got a giant red bean milk tea too. But! Henry already drank half of it~” Mia had started dragging her son into her snack shenanigans.

That afternoon, Henry looked like he might really cry. He was just barely three, after all, and he’d just tasted something way too spicy. Seeing his red face, Mia freaked out and handed over her drink right away.

Henry clung to the cup, gulping it down like he’d just run a marathon.

Even when the coach tried to lead him back to training, Henry wouldn’t budge. “Henry, come on, time to box with your teacher.”

Henry stuck his bottom lip out, dug in his heels, and refused to let go of his mom’s milk tea.

They pulled him all the way to the center of the mat, but Henry was still clutching his drink, sipping away.

No way was he giving up his rare treat—getting to have junk food hardly ever happened around here. He was going to enjoy every last drop.

The other kids watched, drooling, and all ran to their parents, begging for milk tea too. But with Mia’s reputation, some parents didn’t want their kids drinking sugary stuff, though nobody dared criticize Mia’s parenting out loud.

In the end, with everyone watching, his own mom swooped in and snatched the milk tea away.

Henry didn’t really get it, but Mia was fuming. She pouted, voice breaking like she was about to cry. “If I’d known, I wouldn’t have told you anything.” Honesty really wasn’t working in her favor.

Henry just looked confused. Andre eyed his son. “Since you were an accomplice, you get an extra punishment—after dinner, you’re running a few laps for me.”

Henry blinked his big, shiny eyes. “Where do I run~?”

Mia, still annoyed, gently swatted Henry’s hand away. “Nice try. This is your punishment. Don’t drag your mom into everything.”

Andre sat down with his food, watching his wife and son sulk over their plates.

Thinking about how the two of them had been snacking nonstop all afternoon, Andre guessed they really weren’t hungry anymore.

He put his fork down and sighed. “Henry, come on down and change your shoes with me.”
