"So how about we go to my place and watch TV?"
"But I heard Judith is also home for the holidays, right? Nobody's home. We're about to have lunch, aren't we?"
"We could order take-out."
"Nah. Let's go to the supermarket and get some grub. I can whip up lunch for you."
"Sounds good."
"I'll go tell my mom."
"Okay."
After Stephanie and Marilyn said their goodbyes, they left the alley together.
Stephanie reached out and took Sebastian's hand.
Sebastian, in turn, gripped the hand that was held his.
Stephanie's face immediately flushed red.
Her bright eyes stared at him and asked, "Should we drive or leave the car for my mom?"
"Let your mom have the car and we can catch a cab to the supermarket?"
"Have you ever been on a bus?"
"No."
"Then let me take you on a bus ride?"
"Why do we have to take the bus?"
"Because you've never taken one. We should experience all sorts of things. You've shown me the high life, let me show you normal life."
Sebastian thought for a moment. Why not go along with her?
He nodded and said, "Okay."
Stephanie took two coins out of her backpack and took Sebastian to the bus stop.
There weren't many people on the street, so they didn't have to wait long for the bus to arrive.
Stephanie led Sebastian onto the bus and told him, "Remember, you have to toss in a coin to ride. If you don't have any change, you'll need to get some."
Such a big mansion yet so chilly.
He's always alone, it’s kind of pitiful.
At the mention of Putnam, a complicated look flashed across Sebastian's eyes.
He raised an eyebrow and said, "I don't have many close friends. If you do, feel free to invite them all, as for Putnam. I'll invite him.”
"Then should I also invite Dashiell and Maximus?”
"You should invite the heavy drinkers.”
"Gracie is a heavy drinker! But what are you up to?”
"I want to get back at Putnam.”
"Ah, you're still holding grudges from the past!”
Sebastian said calmly, "I want revenge.”
"Hahaha, good idea! He kept me up all last night!”
