snack.

“You really didn’t need to go out of your way to spend your money.” Sarah mentioned Renee’s nearly lavish bid at the auction that day.

“I can’t have my dear Sarah treated unfairly, can I?” Renee glanced at Marvin and Marcelo at another table and whispered to Sarah, “What’s Marvin doing here?”

“He showed up at the auction house looking for Quincy, and now he refuses to leave my side,” Sarah

explained.

She felt stuck with Marvin.

At the other table, two men were sitting together.
