Rich Radiant and Over Him (Alicia and Vincent) novel Chapter 559

The executives exchanged glances and nodded.

These were turbulent times. Under Vincent Lawson's leadership, Lawson & Co. had stabilized. While there hadn't been explosive growth, Vincent's competence was undeniable.

Meanwhile, the apex predator, Lynch Corporation, had stagnated since Tyrone's disappearance, falling into chaos. Even with Micah holding down the fort, it wasn't guaranteed he could suppress the internal turmoil.

As for White Corporation, the situation was even worse. The majority of the board looked down on Alicia as a mere widow—and a woman who had never received formal elite training from the White family. No matter how competent she was, there would always be vultures circling, waiting for her to fail.

In the beginning, Alicia would get angry and upset, desperate to prove herself. But now, she was entirely at peace.

She just needed to execute her plans flawlessly, and results would naturally shut them up.

"Nicole, we're not trying to pressure you, but these projects can't afford any delays. Every stalled day burns through tens of millions," the executives continued to press.

Alicia didn't argue further. After adjourning the meeting and seeing everyone out, she sat alone in the conference room, deep in thought.

Heath Chamberlain... Brandon's ultimate trump card was a ticking time bomb, and the countdown had already begun.

Micah had managed to secure a meeting, but Heath was highly guarded and might not show up. Even if he did, it wouldn't guarantee a fair negotiation.

With Brandon whispering poison in his ear, Heath's prejudice against Alicia was likely deeply ingrained.

While Micah wouldn't actively sabotage her on The Gentleman's orders, he certainly wasn't going to stick his neck out to help her land this deal either.

Who could she bring along to bridge the gap with Heath and lower his defenses?

"Do you honestly think a letter will get you back into White Corporation? Don't be naive, Jade. I moved mountains to kick you and your father out. You think one letter from my grandfather changes that?" Alicia stared coldly at her. "Because of this letter, the most I can promise is that we stay out of each other's way. If you don't cross me, I won't crush you."

But returning to White Corporation? Absolutely out of the question.

"Heath Chamberlain... is very close with Brandon. You won't be able to sway him on your own. Finding a replacement supplier in this time frame is impossible, and White Corporation can't afford the breach-of-contract penalties for hundreds of nationwide projects," Jade said directly.

She knew Alicia didn't trust her, and explaining herself was useless. She had to prove her value. "Words are cheap. I'm just here to tell you that I can be useful. Heath's wife adores me, and Heath himself has always liked me. If I step in, I can get this done for you."

Alicia narrowed her eyes, scrutinizing Jade intensely.

Deciding whether to utilize a former enemy was nothing short of a massive gamble...
