Rich Radiant and Over Him (Alicia and Vincent) novel Chapter 476

Back in Seaview City, Tyrone had barely stepped into the Evercrest Group headquarters when he caught sight of the news: Alicia and Vincent were rumored to be back together.

He’d always prided himself on his composure, but right now, that composure was hanging by a thread.

“Mr. Lynch, you’re not about to jet off to Italy again, are you?” Kenney Lockwood clung to Tyrone’s arm, almost desperate. “Evercrest Group’s run into some trouble lately. We need you here. You’re the only one who can hold things together.”

Tyrone’s expression was grim.

It seemed the sharks in the business world sensed that Lynch Corporation had lost its bite, so now they were circling Evercrest Group instead.

Evercrest Group had been quietly struggling to survive for years, but now, surrounded by a pack of predators, Kenney was starting to feel overwhelmed.

Evercrest Group was Tyrone’s last trump card, his ace in the hole. He couldn’t walk away now.

“Mr. Lynch, you have to believe in Mrs. Lynch. She would never betray you.” Kenney played his best card, knowing full well that if Tyrone ran off now, it would only show he didn’t trust Alicia.

Tyrone cut him off, voice clipped. “Enough. Tell me, who’s making moves against Evercrest Group this time?”

“Vincent spent three months clearing out Lawson & Co.—booted his father and his half-brother, Mayfield, for good. Now he’s in full control, so Lawson & Co. isn’t involved in this attack. But…” Kenney hesitated, glancing at Tyrone’s face. “Stephen Lawson and his illegitimate son Mayfield have teamed up with the Holloway family. Together, they’ve taken control of a company whose only purpose seems to be going head-to-head with Evercrest Group.”

Stephen Lawson and the Holloways were old foxes, seasoned survivors. Instead of clawing their way back from ruin, they seemed hell-bent on making life hell for the now-thriving Evercrest Group. It was obvious someone was pulling the strings behind the scenes.

“We’re almost certain now—the real mastermind isn’t just targeting the Lynch, White, and Quinn families to wipe them out. He’s after something bigger: a monopoly over the entire business circle. He wants to be at the very top of the food chain.”

The mastermind wanted to see who was backing Evercrest Group.

It was a probe—a way to gauge their strength and alliances.

“Alicia put all her assets into Evercrest Group. The company even tried to recruit me before. Our enemies are feeling threatened.” Tyrone nodded, understanding dawning.

Kenney managed a wry smile. “Evercrest Group’s grown so much these past years; it rattled them. The big players have tried every trick to trip us up. If it weren’t for you supporting us from the shadows, we’d never have made it this far. And now, they’re desperate to know who’s really behind us—they can’t rest easy until they do.”

Tyrone leaned back in his chair, thinking. “Let’s throw out a few red herrings. Next time they come at us, we’ll take the bait and steer them toward Sean Quinn.”

At this stage, Tyrone couldn’t afford to reveal his own identity. He’d already made an agreement with Sean Quinn back in Italy: Tyrone would provide the capital for Evercrest Group, and if anyone started sniffing too close, he’d help throw them off the scent.
