Rich Radiant and Over Him (Alicia and Vincent) novel Chapter 448

Before leaving the country, Easton made a final visit to the old family home.

“Easton, why didn’t you bring Lena with you? I heard from her that you two are dating now?” Natalia greeted him with a bright smile as she came to pick him up.

Easton nodded. “She’s a good person, but her situation’s a little complicated. She wasn’t able to get a visa, so I couldn’t bring her with me. I’ll make sure to visit her whenever I can.”

Natalia’s expression shifted for a moment, but she quickly covered it with another smile. “Well, since you’re a couple, you really should spend more time together. Do you want me to try and pull some strings to help Lena get a visa?”

Easton met her eyes. “If a relationship can’t handle a little distance, it’s not much of a relationship at all. If two years apart is too much, then maybe we were never meant to be.”

The cool edge in Easton’s tone caught Natalia off guard, but she decided not to press further. “Alright, we’ll do it your way.”

She dared not be too forceful now, but she was already scheming. The sooner Lena could go overseas and see Easton, the better. After a long separation, she imagined sparks would fly between them—and if Easton caught something from Lena, then Natalia would finally have him under her thumb. With that kind of leverage, she could control him and, by extension, Lynch Corporation.

“Natalia,” Easton began, turning to her, “I don’t have any real authority at the company yet. Most of the upper management are people my brother brought in. What do you think I should do to get them to listen to me?”

Natalia was visibly surprised. “You want to take over Lynch Corporation now? I thought we agreed you’d wait until after graduation…”

Easton’s voice was steady. “My brother’s gone. Who knows what could happen in two years? I’d rather take charge now than risk some unexpected turn.”
