Rich Radiant and Over Him (Alicia and Vincent) novel Chapter 442

Lynch Manor.

As Alicia stepped through the doors of the Lynch family estate, she was struck by how much everything had changed. The place felt different now—emptier, colder. Maddox was gone, and the sprawling house seemed to echo with every step she took.

Inside the living room, Alicia found Natalia lounging on the sofa, acting as if the Lynch ancestral home belonged to her. She sat with the poise of a lady of the house, directing the housekeeper as if she owned the place.

When Alicia entered, Natalia didn’t even bother to put on a polite front. “Laurel, get her a glass of water,” she said with a dismissive wave, barely glancing up as she instructed the housekeeper.

Alicia noticed immediately that the staff had changed. The familiar faces who’d served the family for years were gone, replaced by newcomers. She had sensed it the moment she walked in—everyone who had once worked for the Lynches had been replaced.

With no true master of the house—Tyrone and Maddox both gone, and Easton still young and soon heading off to university in Italy—the running of Lynch Manor had fallen to Shaw, the long-time butler. Shaw called the shots now. Natalia could throw her weight around all she liked, but if Shaw didn’t approve of something, it wouldn’t happen.

Still, replacing all the old staff so quickly was reckless, even for Shaw. Maybe he simply hadn’t expected Alicia to return at all.

“You carry yourself as if this house belongs to you,” Alicia said coldly, settling herself into the main seat. “The old man left all the property and assets—other than company shares—to Tyrone. And with Tyrone gone, as his wife and sole heir, this house now belongs to me.”

Natalia’s expression darkened. She wanted to snap back, but the two bodyguards standing behind Alicia looked like trouble.

“Alicia, my father’s been the Lynch family’s butler for decades,” Natalia said through clenched teeth. “I’m only here to visit him. You’re reading too much into things.”

Alicia nodded, her gaze drifting across the room. “Funny. I remember the old man kept a lot of antiques and valuables here. They’re all listed in the estate inventory. Any idea where your father moved them?”
