Rich Radiant and Over Him (Alicia and Vincent) novel Chapter 443

Alicia clearly wanted Shaw out.

Shaw’s face darkened, jaw clenched, on the verge of losing his composure with her.

Just then, Clayton strode in, his tone light as he greeted Alicia. “I heard you were back in Harboridge, visiting the Lynch family. I rushed over—thought we could have dinner together tonight.”

He was here to defuse the situation—Tyrone had sent him.

Alicia, ever perceptive, had apparently already sensed there was something off with Shaw. Tyrone knew just how ruthless Shaw could be, and he was worried that if Alicia pushed too far, she might end up in real danger.

Shaw’s expression shifted the moment Clayton appeared. He put on a smile, his voice ingratiating. “Young Master Clayton, what a surprise.”

Natalia instantly tensed up, her entire demeanor changing. She started acting coy and girlish, her voice sickly sweet. “Clayton…”

Her infatuation with him couldn’t have been more obvious.

Clayton barely glanced at her before turning his attention to Alicia. “Since you’re here, aren’t you going to visit my grandfather? He’s been ill lately, and he mentioned you after Tyrone passed.”

Alicia nodded, catching his meaning—Clayton was giving her an excuse to leave before things escalated further with Shaw. “Of course. I was just about to check on Reginald.”

Shaw finally relented, his tone forced but resigned. “Alicia, the old estate isn’t for sale—not yet. We need to discuss it further. But I’ll have the family antiques and artwork catalogued. You can auction a few things to tide you over for now.”

He had to back down, for now. Better to hand over some valuables than risk losing the entire Lynch Manor.

That house was worth a fortune.

Alicia nodded and left with Clayton.

Once they were gone, Shaw slowly unclenched his fists.

He’d seriously considered doing something reckless just now.

Natalia, fuming, turned to her father. “You’re really just going to hand all that over to her? Who does she think she is?” What stung even more was that Clayton still hadn’t spared her a second look.
