Rich Radiant and Over Him (Alicia and Vincent) novel Chapter 413

“That’s a stretch. You’ll have to give me a real reason—something that’ll actually convince me,” Vincent pressed, refusing to back down.

“Are you questioning me? I’m your father. You do what I tell you, no questions asked! All you need to understand is this: if you don’t do as I say, Lawson & Co.—hell, the whole Lawson family—will be finished!” Stephen’s voice shook with anger.

Vincent didn’t press further. He knew Stephen wouldn’t give him the truth.

But it was obvious: someone held a devastating secret over Stephen—and by extension, over Lawson & Co. itself.

It seemed he’d have to rethink everything. Even if he did take control of the company, internal reforms would be unavoidable…

In the alley behind Lawson & Co.’s offices, a man slipped in, glancing furtively around before flashing a grin at Tyrone’s assistant, Felix. “So, how was my performance? Think I pulled it off?”

Felix handed him a wad of cash. “Take this and lie low for a while.”

The man nodded eagerly, rubbing his wrist. “Your boss’s wife doesn’t mess around—she nearly broke my wrist with that kick.”

Felix rolled his eyes. “Quit whining. If Mayfield’s people get their hands on you, you’re a dead man. Now go.”

Grinning, the man snatched the cash and hurried off.

Felix turned to Tyrone, who stood nearby. “Mr. Lynch, it’s confirmed—Mayfield really did hire someone to go after you. Fortunately, our people caught wind of it first and handled it.”

After this fiasco, Stephen would have no choice but to throw his full support behind Vincent.

Only with total control could Vincent protect Alicia.

That was all part of Tyrone’s plan.

Everything was unfolding exactly as he’d intended.

With Maddox dead, old conspiracies were beginning to surface. Someone wanted Tyrone gone, wanted to groom Easton Lynch as a puppet, and ultimately seize control of the Lynch fortune.

The White family was barely holding on, with only Reginald White left at the helm. Alicia, as the Whites’ sole heir, couldn’t—and didn’t dare—reveal her true identity. The entire weight of the family rested on Clayton Holloway’s shoulders.

Alicia was too well-protected by Tyrone. Even if Reginald died and her identity was exposed, Clayton doubted she could bear such a heavy burden.

The Quinns had been on the decline ever since their daughter married into the Lynch family. After Sean Quinn took over, the Quinn Group had managed to keep afloat, but their days as a major player seemed long gone.

And the Edwards family? They seemed untouched on the surface, but who could say they were truly safe?

Who was the mastermind behind all this?

Whoever it was, they alone had managed to manipulate the Four Families—and, in fact, the entire city’s business elite—like pawns in a game they could never hope to win.
