Rich Radiant and Over Him (Alicia and Vincent) novel Chapter 372

Clayton arched an eyebrow, shooting Brandon a look so cold and contemptuous it was as if he saw right through both Brandon and Jade—as if they were nothing more than garbage in his eyes.

Jade glared back at Clayton, her anger simmering just beneath the surface.

Just a dog raised by the White family! Once she got her hands on everything that belonged to them, she swore she’d make Clayton kneel and grind that arrogant pride of his deep into the mud.

“Alicia.” Alicia was busy enjoying the unfolding drama, waiting for the old man to finally reveal the truth, when a weak voice called her from behind. She turned, surprised to find Vincent standing there.

He looked pale, attempting a strained smile in her direction.

Alicia rolled her eyes at him, feeling her mood sour.

“Oh, you finally made it?” Tyrone teased, nonchalantly pulling his wife aside and taking up a position beside Vincent, neatly blocking him from Alicia.

Vincent’s expression darkened as he spoke through clenched teeth. “You know Brandon and Nicole are going to make things difficult for you today. Obviously, I had to come watch the show.”

Tyrone nodded. “Well, your timing’s perfect. The curtain’s about to rise.”

All the reporters had crowded around the old man now. Vincent took the opportunity to lower his voice. “My father and Mayfield aren’t going to let this go. They’re planning something, and they won’t give you a moment’s peace. Be careful.”

Tyrone said nothing, making it clear he didn’t see Mayfield and his father as any real threat.

“Mr. White, are you saying you’re officially recognizing Miss Nicole as your heiress today?” One of the reporters, barely able to contain his excitement, called out.

Nicole straightened up, chin lifted, assuming all the poise and arrogance of a young socialite who had just been crowned queen.

“Yes. The reason I’m standing here today is to acknowledge my granddaughter Nicole as the rightful heir. However—” The old man’s gaze shifted to Brandon, Nicole, and Jade, taking in their smug, triumphant faces. “She’s not my real granddaughter Nicole.”

The words dropped like a bomb.

A stunned silence swept the room, followed by a wave of gasps as people turned to stare at each other in shock.

Vincent felt his breath catch. Was he really supposed to work with someone like this? At this rate, he’d need to carry heart medication just to survive the partnership.

“Mr. White, what do you mean by this?”

“Are you saying Nicole isn’t really Nicole?”

Nicole, Jade, and Brandon all stared at the old man in stunned disbelief.

Brandon, panicking, rushed forward and lowered his voice. “Dad, what are you talking about? Are you feeling all right? Why don’t we go home—”

Clayton stepped protectively in front of the old man, blocking Brandon’s way. “Sir, please keep your distance from Mr. White.”

The old man’s gaze was icy as he looked at Brandon before turning to address the reporters again. “The woman standing before you as Nicole is an impostor—put in place by Brandon and my former butler, with a forged paternity test to back up their lie.”

At that, Clayton’s assistant handed out copies of the real paternity test to each of the reporters in the room.
