Chapter 1080 The Threat
Chapter 1080 The Threat
Lilian stared at the two men, her expression hardening into a mask of cold contempt. “If you went through the trouble of kidnapping them just to threaten me, you should have done your homework. I’ve cut ties with that family. Their lives have nothing to do with me.”
The man in black gave a bone-chilling smile. “Is that so? Well then, it looks like we made a mistake.” He pulled out his phone and started a video call. “Lilian says she doesn’t care if they live or die,” he told the man on the screen. “Kill them.”
“Fine by me,” the man in the video replied. “Who goes first?”
The man in black pretended to think it over. “Start with the old man. We can have some fun with the younger ones for a few more
hours.”
“You got it.”
Lilian’s gaze grew colder with every word. When the agonized screams of an old man erupted from the phone, her resolve fractured.
“You bastards! If you want someone, take me! Don’t you touch him!”
Lilian recognized Henry’s voice instantly. Then, a man in the video laughed. “Oops. My bad. I missed his vitals. Let me try that again. I’ll make sure this next one finishes him off.”
“Stop!” Lilian snapped. “I’ll go with you. Just tell them to stop.”
She had cut ties with the Sinclair family, but she couldn’t just stand by and watch them be slaughtered because of her. No matter how much they had hurt her, the same blood ran through her veins. The guilt would haunt her forever.
The man sneered. “That’s more like it. You should have just played along from the start. Now Henry has a hole in him for nothing Who knows if he’ll even make it?” He barked into the phone, “Alright, knock it off for now. Keep them quiet” He hung up and pocketed the device.
He looked Lilian up and down. “Cooperate with us. Hand over everything you have on you, every last thing we’re just merceman and we really hate it when a job gets messy because a target tries to be clever.”
Lilian shot him a lethal glare before pulling off her bag and shoving it at him.
The man checked her over one last time to make sure she wasn’t hiding anything else. “After you, Lilian.”
Lilian didn’t say another word. She climbed into the van, and the black vehicle sped away from the university gates disappearing into traffic.
Nearby, in the back of a parked car, a woman watched the van vanish with a mocking smirk Tillan is gone, Renee said county “And I’ve made sure she isn’t coming back Now it’s your turn”
