Leon turned to his daughter his voice pleading. “Triny please. Let the man go. Just listen to me for once okay?”

Triny’s gaze was hard and full of resentment. “Am I supposed to spend the rest of my life hiding because of this face? If there can only be one Lilian in this world then it is going to be me. I have loved him for years. I am not letting go now. I can’t.”

She had spent the entire night thinking about it. She was done with the shadows. She wanted to take that woman’s place in the light. She was convinced that once she had him under her thumb she could make him love her forever.

Morten looked at Triny with a strange calm. “If your mind is made up then we won’t stand in your way. But remember this. Once you walk out those doors today you aren’t Triny anymore. You can’t use those names or call us family ever again it’s too risky YOUT father and I just want you to be safe.”
