Quite by chance, she ran into Mignon at the Austin estate.
Mignon was there to see Bruno, delivering a medical prescription.
Anastasia overheard a few words and was surprised.
She knew Bruno had recently taken on a patient who needed a specific prescription. She had wanted to offer her help, but Bruno told her he knew who had it and would contact them himself.
She never imagined that person was Mignon.
When Mignon was leaving, Anastasia walked her to the door. "I heard from Mr. Austin that the prescription is incredibly valuable," she couldn't help but ask. "Did Mrs. Calderon just give it away like that?"
Mignon smiled, a wistful look on her face. "The prescription is certainly precious, but it's of no use in my hands. If it can help someone, I'm sure its true owner would be happy."
"Its true owner?"
"Yes," Mignon said, her thoughts returning to the present. She looked at Anastasia with a nostalgic glint in her eyes. "It belonged to my dearest friend. She was a brilliant doctor, but sadly, she's no longer with us."
After seeing Mignon off, Anastasia went back inside and asked Bruno, "Mr. Austin, who wrote that prescription?"
"Ah, that was written by someone truly remarkable. Wilma. Have you ever heard that name?"
"Wilma?" Anastasia's first thought was how similar the name was to her mother's.
Cecilia Brennan, Wilma.
She shook her head. "I haven't. Who was she?"
