Revenge is My Love Language novel Chapter 484

She could hear it in his voice—he was genuinely suffering.

“I’m fine,” she said, turning to Harrison.

Harrison trusted her skills as a doctor and immediately relaxed.

“And this is…?” Marcus’s gaze couldn’t help but drift over to Juliet.

For some reason, the memory of the last time flashed through Anastasia’s mind: Marcus had only glimpsed Juliet’s profile and looked as if he’d lost his soul. She instantly became wary.

“This is my cousin. She’s still young, not interested in dating,” Anastasia announced pointedly.

Juliet offered a quiet, polite, “Hello, I’m Juliet.”

Marcus quickly masked whatever flickered in his eyes, replacing it with that familiar, charming Mr. Jackson smile. He extended his hand. “Nice to meet you, Juliet. I’m Marcus, a friend of Anastasia’s.”

Juliet was shy and hesitant around strangers; it took her a moment before she finally reached out to shake his hand.

The instant their hands touched, Marcus felt a sharp pain in his chest, his fingers trembling ever so slightly. It took everything he had to keep his expression neutral.

Anastasia’s sharp gaze darted back and forth between the two. Only when she saw nothing amiss did she finally relax. As soon as the greetings were done, she grabbed Juliet’s hand and hustled her toward the dining room. “Come on, dinner’s ready.”

Marcus was the last to enter. As he took his seat, a sudden realization struck him, and his face froze.

Usually, it wouldn’t matter. But tonight, with Juliet here… Was he really going to have to go through with this? His reputation would be ruined for life!

Despair etched across his face, and he was just about to beg Anastasia for help when Harrison noticed something odd and fixed a stern look on him.

“Not hungry?”

The staff had just set out the utensils, and everyone had a plate of food in front of them—except Marcus. His setting was empty.

Marcus looked utterly devastated, unable to even get a word out before one of the servers set something down right in front of him.

He all but ground the words out between his teeth, shooting Anastasia a look of pure accusation.

Anastasia turned away, barely able to contain her laughter—her whole body was shaking with the effort.

Juliet was still gaping, unable to process what she was seeing. Just moments ago, she’d thought Marcus was incredibly handsome.

Now, every bit of that admiration shattered in an instant.

She never would have guessed… Mr. Jackson had a fetish like this?

Juliet was so guileless that every thought crossed her face in plain view. Marcus noticed—and nearly had a heart attack.

With tears in his eyes, he picked up a spoon, dug deep into the pointed end of the chocolate “poop,” and stuffed a big bite in his mouth.

He chewed heroically and declared, “Not bad… just a little bitter.”
