Revenge is Best Served After Reborn (James) novel Chapter 1901

Adler always had Jenna's back. During those days, they ate together, fought side by side, and he loved playing the damsel in distress, hiding behind Jenna so she would swoop in and save the day.

Every time, Jenna would step in front, frowning and teasing, "Seriously, how can you be such a wimp? And you call yourself a man!"

He’d laugh it off, cheekily saying, "I'm just too lazy to deal with them! Otherwise, they'd be no match for me!"

Back in high school, Jenna was already a force to be reckoned with. She had a knack for standing up to bullies, always ready to teach them a lesson. Her fearless attitude quickly made her the hero in the eyes of all the girls.

The guys, though? They were a bit scared of her, steering clear. Except for Adler, who tagged along like a little brother looking for protection. Sure, it was a bit embarrassing, but he didn’t care as long as it meant being close to the girl he liked.

Jenna treated him like a kid brother, always looking out for him. But Adler didn’t want to be stuck in the brother zone. Whenever he saw Jenna chatting it up with other guys, he just wanted to knock them out.

They didn’t get Jenna at all. They were only interested in her because of her family connections, the ties between the Dennis and Costello families.

Adler remembered Jenna's first love was this rich corporate heir. For Jenna, it was more about filling the void than romance. Her fling with that guy was just a strategic play to gain influence and bring her father down a notch.

The rich kid was a jerk, cheating on Jenna while they were together. When she found out, she didn’t shed a tear or kick up a fuss. She didn’t care enough about him to bother.

But Adler wouldn’t stand for anyone treating Jenna like that, so he went and gave the guy a good thumping that night.

Remembering Jenna's infamous "family jewel" kick made Adler swallow hard. It had been ages since he’d seen her in action.

Jenna flipped the guy off with a middle finger and said coolly, "Who do you think you are to point at me?"

"You!"

"You think I care about your pathetic little company? You're not even worthy to polish my shoes!"

Jenna dropped her thumb downward, "Tell your dad, if he messes with me, his pathetic company is going down!"
