Kelly was violently flung aside. Valerie’s expression changed instantly as she cried out, “Kelly!” Reacting instinctively, she rushed forward to catch her
But Angelo used so much force that Kelly was practically sent flying into Valerie. The impact made Valerie stagger and topple backward.
Valerie’s lower back slammed hard into the corner of the table. She let out a pained gasp as all color drained from her face.
Valerie’s back felt like it was breaking, she couldn’t muster any strength. She gave Kelly a feeble push, but the dazed Kelly remained disoriented and unable to get up.
Sariah, panic written all over her face, rushed over and quickly pulled Kelly out of the way.
Instantly, Valerie clutched her lower back and curled up on the floor, her forehead beaded with cold sweat as her face contorted in pain.
“Valerie!” Kelly cried out in panic.
Kelly gasped, her face deathly pale. “What do we do?”
Johanna snapped in exasperation, “What are you waiting for? Get her to the hospital now! Move!”
But Kelly couldn’t help but glance toward Angelo.
Angelo was frantically consoling Renata.
He didn’t even spare them a glance, completely ignoring what was happening, or whether Kelly lived or died.
Angelo was frantically trying to comfort Renata. Her face was a bloody mess of crisscrossing scratches. She sobbed uncontrollably, clutching his hand in utter helplessness. “Angelo,” she wept, “is my face ruined? Am I going to be an ugly freak forever?”
Angelo’s heart ached for her. He pulled Renata into his arms, murmuring repeatedly, “Don’t be afraid. You’re still beautiful, no matter what happens, you’ll always be the most beautiful to me.”
Tears streamed down Kelly’s face as she watched the scene unfold. Seeing them together, her heart turned to ice.
“Move it!” Johanna barked in frustration, yanking Kelly by the arm. She turned to the approaching security guard and snapped, “If anything happens to Valerie, you’ll be rotting in jail for the rest of your life!”
Angelo was still examining Renata’s injuries when he heard this. His eyelids twitched and his heart skipped a beat.
Turning back, he was shocked to discover that the injured woman was none other than Aiden’s wife.
Johanna sneered, “Do you really have the power to withstand the Walker family’s fury?”
Johanna’s threat hit home. Angelo’s attention snapped away from Renata, and unease crept in as apprehension took hold.
Renata inwardly cursed him as useless, but outwardly maintained her pitiful facade. “Angelo,” she whimpered, “take me to the hospital right away…. my
face…”
“Alright,” Angelo replied absentmindedly.
But before they could even get to their feet, Renata instantly recognized Sariah’s voice.
Sariah, alluring as ever, stood beside a distinguished–looking man and said, “These two are the ones who hurt Aiden’s wife. Deal with t have Aiden owe you one.”
The man took a drag from his cigarette, smirked, and gestured toward Renata with it. “She’s a Walker too. You think I didn’t know that?”

Chapter 204
“The Walkers have their own pecking order,” Sariah cooed, shooting Renata a disdainful look. “She’s all yours.”
The man nodded and, with a grand gesture, ordered, “Beat them up and throw them out.”
After hailing a cab and getting in, Kelly sat blankly in the back seat, her mind a total blank, she had no idea what to think or do. It wasn’t until Johanna slapped her upside the head in frustration and barked, “Call your brother already!” that she finally snapped out of it.
Only then did Kelly snap out of it. She pulled out her phone and called Aiden.
The call connected quickly. Kelly opened her mouth, her voice trembling as she choked out, “Bro…”
But the moment Kelly called out, tears streamed down her face. Choking back sobs, she cried, “I… Valerie…”
Hearing her sobbing, Aiden felt a sense of dread. “What happened?”
Johanna couldn’t take it anymore. She snatched the phone and snapped, “Valerie’s been attacked. She’s badly hurt. We’re taking her to the hospital now. Get over here, quick!”
Valerie was rushed to the ER. By the time Aiden arrived, the doctor had already finished the examination and came out to deliver the diagnosis. “She suffered a severe impact on her lower back, injuring the lumbar muscles. While there are no bone fractures, her condition is still concerning. She’ll need to be admitted for observation. Please complete the admission process.”
Hearing the news, Kelly broke down in tears. “I’m so sorry! This is all my fault…” she sobbed.
Johanna couldn’t take it anymore. “What’s the use of saying sorry now, Kelly? Honestly!”
With a face like thunder, Aiden strode straight into the ward.
Her face deathly pale, Valerie was hooked up to an IV. When she saw Aiden enter, she managed a fragile, pitiful smile.
Aiden’s face darkened even further. His heart sank like a stone.
He thought, ‘My own wife, the woman I’d be devastated over if I so much as accidentally hurt her, and now someone else has done this to her?‘
Seeing his dark expression, a shiver of fear ran through Valerie, and she instinctively buried her face in the blanket.
But before she could hide, Aiden yanked the blanket off her in one swift motion.
Aiden’s calloused fingers pinched her nose as he said through gritted teeth, “Always running around like this. Careful, or I really will lock you up!”
Valerie pouted pitifully and wrinkled her nose. “It hurts,” she whimpered.
Aiden had intended to give Valerie a stern scolding, but her pitiful act instantly melted his anger. Seeing her pale face, he was torn between heartache and fury. With his expression darkening, he turned to Kelly, who had followed closely behind, and demanded, “What happened?”
Between sobs, Kelly recounted what had happened, with each word, Aiden’s face grew stormier.
Just then, Sariah, who had been gone for a while reappeared clutching a stack of photos. She spat, “I’ve posted all these pictures online. That scumbag couple!”
Kelly, choking back sobs, took the phone from Sariah and saw she had blasted the story across social media. The headline read: Walker heiress steals cousin’s boyfriend, gets publicly beaten and dumped at bar, shocking scandall
