Chapter 200
Valerie thought in disbelief, ‘Am I seeing things right?
‘Aiden is actually eating junk food with me?‘
While Valerie was still in a daze, Aiden speared a fish ball and stuffed it into her mouth. “Go get me a bottle of water.”
Chewing on the food, Valerie cheerfully scampered off.
Valerie bought herself a carton of yogurt and got Aiden a bottle of water. Then she sat down sweetly beside him, poked the straw into her yogurt, and began swinging her legs playfully.
As she sipped her yogurt, Valerie couldn’t shake this nagging feeling that something was off.
Valerie thought in disbelief, ‘Seriously? A big–shot CEO like Aiden actually eats this kind of stuff?
‘He’s such a picky eater, and he’s actually eating this junk food?‘
Valerie was stealing glances at him. Aiden finished his last bite, elegantly dabbed his mouth with a napkin, then looked at her and teased, “Had a good
look?”
Valerie felt her cheeks burn, “My face is burning!” she thought, hurriedly looking away.
Aiden stood up and headed out. He glanced back and said, “Done staring? Let’s go home.”
“Okay.” Valerie tossed the empty yogurt carton and quickly caught up with Aiden.
All around them, people cast subtle, curious glances their way, their eyes full of speculation.
They thought, ‘A Rolls–Royce pulling up for convenience store food? That’s a first!‘
The Rolls–Royce parked outside had already drawn a crowd of onlookers snapping photos. A few were still standing in front of the car, taking pictures, but as soon as someone opened the door, they scattered instantly.
Aiden opened the passenger door for Valerie before taking the driver’s seat.
A person said, “Wow, a Rolls–Royce! Of course, only a handsome alpha CEO type would be driving one!”
Another said, “Seriously? An alpha CEO would never drive himself. They always have chauffeurs!‘
“True that.”
Valerie couldn’t help but chuckle when she overheard those comments. She glanced at Aiden, who was driving himself, and asked, “Where’s Lennox?”
“Miss him?” Aiden shot her a cool glance.
“Yep,” Valerie suppressed a giggle. “People outside are wondering if you’re the chauffeur.”
Aiden was dressed casually today, a simple black T–shirt that hugged his toned physique, paired with plain trousers and short hair. If it weren’t for that unfairly handsome face of his, he’d look just like any other guy.
Aiden started the car. “What did Grandpa tell you?”
At the mention of this, Valerie’s smile faded slightly as she lowered her gaze.

Chapter 200
Aiden remained silent, his face unreadable:
The ride home was silent.
As they approached home and their mansion came into view, Valerie hesitated for a moment before asking in a low, uncertain voice, “Aiden… do you think we should continue this marriage?”
Aiden slammed on the brakes abruptly. Caught completely off guard, Valerie’s body lurched violently forward from the momentum.
Thankfully, the seatbelt caught her, otherwise, she would’ve gone flying.
Aiden cast a sidelong glance at her, his expression unreadable. “What exactly are you trying to say?” he asked, his tone deceptively calm.
Valerie could tell that Aiden was furious.
The thought made Valerie instinctively recoil in fear. Her heart pounded as she looked at him, but she quickly averted her gaze and said, “Grandpa told me a lot… He wants me to divorce you, so you can marry someone else, someone who would benefit the Walker family and the Walker Group.”
Valerie thought, ‘And it’s pretty obvious Grandpa already has someone specific in mind.
‘That must be Phoebe, the woman I saw at Grandpa’s place before, right?‘
At the thought, Valerie felt an inexplicable pang of bitterness in her chest.
Aiden brushed his thumb lightly over the steering wheel, his eyes calm and his expression composed yet unreadable, as if waiting for her to continue.
Valerie instinctively sat up straighter, feigning composure as she asked, “What do you think?”
“Absolutely not,” Aiden stated firmly.
Simple, deep, and brooked no argument.
Aiden’s already icy eyes grew even colder. “Don’t even think about it.”
Although Valerie had already guessed his answer, hearing him say it himself still sent a ripple of emotion through her.
Valerie hesitated, then couldn’t help but ask, “I’ve always wondered… do you actually love me? Or did you just happen to marry me, and since you don’t dislike me, you’re just too lazy to bother finding someone else?”
In her previous life, the reason he tormented her so much wasn’t because he loved her, it was because his pride and ego simply couldn’t tolerate her betrayal. He was determined to keep her by his side, to make her suffer, to make her regret.
Aiden unbuckled his seatbelt, a faint, ambiguous smile on his lips. “Was my performance last night not… thorough enough?”
Valerie froze, her cheeks burning instantly.
‘What the… I was being serious! Why did you suddenly go R–rated? Valerie thought, her face burning.
Aiden suddenly leaned in, his hand gently cupping her cheek. He murmured, “When a man desires a woman, the most straightforward way he shows it is… he wants to take her to bed.”
He lowered his head and gently kissed her lips. He murmured, “You’re the first woman I’ve ever been with.”
“The first?” she stammered in disbelief.
‘So… he’d never been with another woman before me?‘ Valerie thought in disbelief.
Valerie felt both flattered and overwhelmed. A sweet warmth surged through her chest, making her lips curl up unconsciously. But when she met his fathomless, dark gaze, she forced her smile down and teased, “Liar! You don’t seem inexperienced at all!”

Aiden arched an eyebrow, not the least bit embarrassed, in fact, he looked downright proud. Smirking, he said, “So, you’re quite satisfied with me, aren’t
you?”
Valerie’s cheeks burned even hotter. She instinctively recoiled and protested, “As if!”
“Then tell me,” Aiden pressed, a mischievous glint in his eyes. “What exactly were you not satisfied with?”
Valerie gaped at him, utterly speechless.
‘Was this guy for real? Traps are everywhere!‘ Valerie thought in frustration.
Aiden teased, “The size? The speed? Or… the frequency?”
Valerie’s cheeks flamed scarlet as she shoved his face away, mortified. “Enough already, we’re home!” she hissed, her voice thick with embarrassment.
