Chapter 191
Someone in the crowd exclaimed, “That’s downright vicious!”
“Who is she?” someone in the crowd whispered.
“I know now,” a bystander chimed in. “That’s the one who’s had beef with Miss Shelton. Professor Pierpoint just issued an order banning this girl from entering the Music Alliance.”
“So that’s it. But what’s their beef?”
“Who knows? Maybe there’s some deep–seated grudge between them. I mean, to actually push someone down the stairs? That’s just crazy. Better not mess with her, better not…”
The crowd buzzed with gossip, and in just a few words, they had already branded Valerie as the culprit.
Valerie listened to the crowd’s accusations with an impassive face, saying nothing. Her eyes, however, were fixed coldly on Juliette lying on the ground, their icy gaze barely concealing her simmering anger.
Juliette cried even harder at the surrounding voices, wailing, “Brother, it hurts so much… Why would she do this to me? Won’t she be satisfied until she drives me to death?”
Juliette wailed uncontrollably, her heart–wrenching cries so full of anguish that many bystanders couldn’t help but be moved.
Valerie stood motionless on the second step of the stairs, looking on with a cold, detached gaze.
Camren’s face darkened. He looked up, his eyes glinting with malice as they locked onto Valerie.
He looked at her as if she were already dead.
Seizing the moment, Juliette sobbed dramatically, “My hand… it hurts so much!”
A person said, “I’m a doctor, let me take a look! Just a scratch, nothing serious.”
Juliette leaned weakly against Camren’s chest, whimpering, “Camren… my head feels so dizzy…”
“That was a long fall down the stairs, she might have a concussion. Better get her to the hospital right away.”
“Juliette!” Colette’s voice trembled with distress. “My dear Juliette, are you alright?”
“Grandma!” Juliette wailed dramatically, her voice deliberately loud and brimming with exaggerated misery.
Jack followed closely behind. He took in the sight of Juliette sobbing on the floor, then glanced up at Valerie standing impassively at the top of the stairs. A complicated mix of emotions flickered across his face
Colette’s eyes brimmed with tears as she glared at Valerie and shouted, her voice trembling with distress, “How can you be so heartless, so wicked! What has our Juliette ever done to you? Won’t you be satisfied until you’ve driven her to her death?”
Hearing this, Valerie’s first reaction wasn’t the expected outrage, grief, or any of the emotions one would normally feel when falsely accused.
Instead, it was envy.
Every single member of the Shelton family cherished Juliette dearly, holding her close to their hearts as their most precious treasure.
Valerie thought, ‘So this is what true family bonds feel like. It’s something I’d never known.

Chapter 191
Camren, his face grim, helped Juliette to her feet and said firmly, “I’m taking you to the hospital,”
“Yes, take her to the hospital, now!” Colette snapped at Valerie, her voice shaking with rage. “And make sure the one who did this pays the price!”
“Enough.” A chilling voice cut through the clamor like a blade. All heads turned, it was Aiden.
His face was ice–cold, his entire presence radiating a chill that seemed to seep into the bones. He approached with measured steps, his gaze sharp as a blade. “Since Mrs. Shelton wants to talk about consequences, then tell me, if your family’s mutts and strays dared to bite my wife, what price would the Shelton family pay for that?”
That single sentence instantly enraged the entire Shelton family.
“Mr. Walker, what exactly do you mean by that?” a member of the Shelton family snapped. “You’re going too far! Your wife pushed Juliette down, and look at the state she’s in! How can you even have the nerve to say something like that?”
Colette was shaking with rage.
Jack gently comforted his wife, then fixed his clouded but sharp eyes on Aiden. His voice was calm, yet carried unquestionable authority. “I don’t expect you to make amends for your wife’s actions, but at the very least, such behavior will not be tolerated under any circumstances!”
He thought, ‘Even if she bears a striking resemblance to our late daughter.
‘Even if there’s a slight chance she’s our late daughter’s child, that’s by no means a reason to wrong Juliette!‘
“This is the Shelton family’s domain! You hurt our people and think there won’t be consequences? Are you trying to turn the world upside down here?” an elder of the Shelton family roared.
Aiden let out a cold scoff, his sharp, frosty eyes flashing. “Even if she turns the world upside down, I’ll take whatever comes.”
Juliette’s heart twisted violently, envy, jealousy, resentment surging through her.
Juliette thought bitterly, ‘Aiden actually dotes on Valerie this much?
‘Why her?‘
Little did anyone know, Valerie was both surprised and flattered, her heart quietly racing. ‘Is he really standing up for me like this?‘ she wondered.
But Aiden’s words only fanned the flames of the Shelton family’s rage. One of them snapped furiously, “Don’t think being a Walk
untouchable!
“The Walker family might be powerful, but this is still Shelton turf! We won’t tolerate the Walkers causing trouble here!”
A Shelton family elder roared, “This is outrageous!”

“The evidence is clear!” someone in the crowd shouted accusingly. “We all heard the scream and rushed over, there were only the two of them here. If Valerie didn’t push her, are you saying Juliette just jumped down herself?”
“No way! As if!” someone in the crowd scoffed. “And besides, wasn’t it said that this woman already had serious bad blood with Miss Shelton?”
Choking back sobs, Juliette cried out, “We’ve been best friends since childhood, you know. She was an orphan, and I’ve been supporting her since we were little. When she had nothing to eat, I’d sneak food from home for her, even taking meals to the orphanage for her…”
Juliette choked out, her voice trembling with self–pity, “If it weren’t for me, Valerie would have starved to death long ago!
“Back when we were kids, you didn’t even have clothes to wear, you always wore my old hand–me–downs! In winter, when ouer kids bullied you and left you shivering in the snow, it was me who took you home, it was me who let you into my house, it was me who shared my bed with you. When you couldn’t afford to go to school, it was me who begged my parents to pay your tuition and give you food…”
Juliette grew more convinced of her own benevolence, seeing Valerie as nothing but an ungrateful wretch. Sobbing, she wailed, “But ever since you
