"May I check her pulse?" Sebastian asked, and Lazarus nodded.
Sebastian placed his fingers on Lamia's wrist. The moment he touched her skin, a cold passive energy entered his body through his fingertips.
However, he didn't stop the energy from flowing into his body. To regular cultivators, this was undoubtedly fatal, but he was an active and passive energy cultivator.
The cold passive energy wouldn't harm him and was greatly beneficial to him instead.
As Sebastian looked at Lamia's gorgeous face, a wicked idea came into his mind, but only for a split second before he shot it down.
If Lazarus could read his mind, he would kill him with one move. Nevertheless, Lamia's appearance and figure were so tempting that he couldn't stop his mind from wandering.
Anxiously, he silently warned himself that Lamia was a monster from the Demon Tribe. Despite that, his self-warning didn't work at all, and he couldn't control his wicked idea in the end.
Closing his eyes, Sebastian stopped looking at her. He had no idea what was wrong with himself. Although he couldn't control himself well in this aspect, he shouldn't be this bad.
He couldn't figure out why he was so attracted to Lamia. After composing himself for a long while, he gradually suppressed his wicked thoughts and used his spiritual senses to run a prognosis on Lamia.
Her condition was worse than he imagined. Her pulse was weak and extremely slow. In a minute, it barely pulsated once.
The situation within her body was worse. Her internal organs were ripped, and stagnant blood was accumulated everywhere within. Even many parts of her meridians were damaged.
She appeared to be fine from the surface, but her internal injuries were unexpectedly severe. It was a miracle that she didn't die acutely, and it was a wonder that she could live until now.
