Remorse After Breaking Up (Sebastian) novel Chapter 1066

Sebastian flashed a charming smile. "I heard the Blanc family is quite wealthy, and my medical skills are rather good. Someday, I'll visit your home to treat your injuries."

Aime said nothing, understanding that Sebastian wasn't planning to kill him right now. Once he was free, he would ensure the family's elite captured Sebastian, leaving him in a fate worse than death to quell his own bitterness.

Sebastian could read his thoughts perfectly. With a swift motion, he grabbed Aime by the throat.

Aime went pale with fear. "Please, don't kill me. I'm begging you."

"Relax. Like I said, I'll need you to be healthy enough to visit your home for treatment. But the worse your injuries, the more I earn, so bear with it."

With that, Sebastian's hand pulsed with spiritual energy, and he severed Aime's vocal cords with a quick motion.

Aime's eyes and mouth opened wide. His expression was full of pain and terror, though not a sound escaped him.

Sebastian wasn't finished. His hand glowed with energy once more as he directed it into Aime's spine. With a powerful jolt, he shattered Aime's vertebrae.

Aime's body went limp on the ground just like that. His eyes were devoid of life, empty and vacant.

Sebastian was without a shred of pity. He knew this was the only fitting end for anyone who dared harm his woman.

Afterward, he gently lifted Lila and carried her to a relatively flat spot, where he carefully laid her down while placing his hand on her forehead. Her injuries weren't severe, and she soon regained consciousness.

When Lila saw Sebastian's hand on her head, she gasped and pushed his hand away.

"You? What are you doing here?" she demanded, feeling both shocked and angry.

As she sat up hastily, she checked her clothes. She finally breathed a sigh of relief when she saw that they were intact and felt no discomfort.

"I saw you unconscious, so I carried you here," Sebastian explained.

He chose not to tell her the truth; if she spread word of what really happened, it could lead to unnecessary trouble.

"If it weren't for Ms. Deimante's intervention, I wouldn't have married you, much less given you a second glance. You can't even hold a candle to the Blancs. Aime alone could play you like a puppet."

Sebastian just smiled calmly. "You really underestimate me, Lila. Aime? I could crush him with a flick of my wrist."

"The men I despise most are the ones who brag without any skill to back it up. If you're so capable, why don't you go and deal with Aime?" Lila snapped.

"Don't worry; I fully intend to," Sebastian replied with a knowing smile.

"Anyone can boast. Show me!" Lila challenged.

"I certainly will," Sebastian said evenly.

"You'd better, because if you don't, don't ever expect me to share a bed with you," Lila huffed while storming off.

Sebastian let out a long sigh. This woman was truly exhausting. If there had been any other woman with a spiritual body like hers, he wouldn't have spared Lila a second glance.
