Regret Came Too Late (Grace and Ethan) novel Chapter 489

Tim was walking Ethan to the car when Ethan asked, "Who said you could turn on the TV?"

Tim sat in the driver's seat, feeling a little upset. "I just want to let Ms. Lambert know a thing or two so that she won't keep seeing you in such a bad light."

In Grace's eyes, Ethan would do anything for Jodie even if it was unlawful.

Ethan did not say anything further and just stared out the window nonchalantly. His fingers were starting to have the tremors again, so he felt around for his medicine. Tim immediately stopped him.

"Mr. Henderson, let's just go and see how things are for now. I'm guessing it's going to be a tough battle today."

Over the past 20-some years, Jordan had never been humiliated in this way before. The Henderson family came from prestige but was now the subject of everyone's gossip—and it had only taken one night.

Ethan had truly let Jordan down this time.

Many people were already waiting at Henderson Residence.

Ethan did not say a word and just closed his eyes slowly as if completely unbothered by everything that was happening.

Tim glanced at him through the rear-view mirror. It was still the same as before. He could never seem to read Ethan's mind.

There was also that child. Nobody knew who that child's birth mother was.

Tim had stayed by Ethan's side for so many years and had never failed to uphold the practice of only asking questions when it was absolutely necessary. Which was why he was still unclear about many things.

Subtly, Tim floored the pedal.

They finally arrived at Henderson Residence. Tim could not stop himself from asking Ethan, "Mr. Henderson Senior is really angry this time. He'll probably…"

Jordan might just take away all of Ethan's powers.

But Ethan was a major shareholder of the company. Even if Jordan wanted to place some of the Henderson family members into the company's management, it would still not be enough to affect Ethan's power.

Now, it all depended on Ethan's next move.

When Ethan entered Henderson Residence in his wheelchair, silence filled the room. The living room was crowded, with Jordan sitting right in the center.

There was a cup of tea in front of Jordan. He appeared less upset than imagined. Nonetheless, when the others turned their attention toward Ethan, their gazes were filled with gloating.

Ethan slowly steered the wheelchair over to them. "Dad," he called out.

Dylan sat on a loveseat at the side. There was evident schadenfreude upon seeing Ethan trapped in such a predicament.

If it were not for Jordan, Dylan's house arrest might have continued indefinitely. Tonight might just be the very night of Ethan's great fall. He deserved it!

He really thought that he was the one who got to call the shots in this household. He must have forgotten that he owed everything he had to someone.

"That's funny. The scandals you were involved in were way more sensational than this."

The news about Andrew cheating on his wife with her sister created a big stir at the time. How could he say this without feeling any shame?

Andrew was silenced. He became overwhelmed with various emotions, and his face went from red to pale before eventually darkening. Then, he took a deep breath.

"You're really stubborn and unrepentant! I guess only Dad can deal with you now!"

Once again, he kicked the ball into Jordan's court. Everyone was waiting for Jordan to say something.

Jordan's brows furrowed as he looked at Andrew.

Andrew cowered away, his lips twitching briefly. He really had no way to subdue Ethan.

Anytime his eyes met with Ethan's, he would become fearful.

Ethan ascended to the heir position when he was still very young. The other members of the Henderson family had not been happy about this.

But even after all those years of trying to get rid of him, he was still alive and well. The only time he ever suffered any severe injuries was when his legs got hurt.

Some thought Ethan actually deserved it.
