"Dad, someone's here!" Jane called out.

"Coming!" A middle-aged man walked over to the door and opened it.

"Hey, buddy!" Hayden greeted with a faint smile and waved his hand.

"You are…" Albert Hill frowned, eyeing Hayden up and down. He thought for a moment and was certain he had never seen this young man before.

But Hayden looked almost the same age as Jane. Albert wondered if he was her classmate.

"Young man, I'm much older than you. You can call me Mr. Hill instead. Don't be rude! Anyway, you're here to see Jane, right? I'll go get her. Jane!"

However, Hayden walked in without hesitation and found a spot to sit down.

Albert was displeased. Hayden's rude behavior had caused Albert's opinion of him to take a turn for the worse.

But remembering Hayden was his daughter's classmate, Albert decided to tolerate it.

"Dad, what's going on?" Jane, sitting in a wheelchair, came out on her own.

"Your classmate is here to see you." Albert gestured toward Hayden.

The moment Jane saw him, she froze. She was stunned to see the young man from her window and wondered what he was doing at her house.

"You… He's not my classmate." Jane spoke quietly.

"What? He's not?" Albert's attention snapped toward Hayden, his expression suddenly wary.

"What!" Albert's face turned ashen at his words. His entire body stiffened from nerves.

This was the money that Morgan had given him. Money that no one else was supposed to know about!

"Who are you, really?" Albert growled, now standing protectively in front of Jane. He was scared that she would be hurt.

"Dad…" Jane also began to feel anxious. Her face grew pale. She didn't understand why her father was so fearful of the young man.

"Jane, go back to your room," Albert whispered harshly.

Jane hesitated, casting one last worried glance at Hayden. She refused to believe that he was a bad person. Eventually, she retreated to her room.

Hayden lifted his gaze and said with a blank expression, "Let me introduce myself. I'm your target, Hayden."
