Misunderstanding!
A massive misunderstanding!
Penelope narrowed her eyes dangerously. The memories of this individual humiliating her were crystal clear. It couldn't possibly be a simple misunderstanding. "How coincidental, it's me."
If there was one thing about her, she never forgot a grudge.
Thinking of her older brother's instructions, Penelope relished teasing Andrew. She wouldn't reveal her true identity, enjoying his awkward attempts to impress her.
"You better keep your distance from me," she warned.
Andrew paid no heed to the comment and eagerly opened the box. Revealed within was a emerald bracelet emitting a gentle radiance. At first glance, its value was unmistakable, far surpassing the one Kyla had angrily taken away!
"This is the token of appreciation I mentioned. Do you like it?"
Andrew had spent considerable time selecting this emerald bracelet, going to great lengths to consult numerous gemologist before making his decision. It was evident that his intentions were heartfelt.
"Take these things back; I have no use for them," she declared firmly.
"Beloved Goddess, I adore you," Andrew declared again.
He radiated an undeniable confidence, appearing both handsome and charmingly affectionate. His effortless demeanor would disarm anyone who harbored a grudge against him. Yet, standing before him was Penelope.
"I don't like you."
"Why?"
"You're not my type."
Andrew appeared wounded, realizing that even goddesses have their preferences. After a brief contemplation, he resolved to align himself with those ideals. With determination, he asked, "Could you be more specific?"
Penelope retorted coldly, "Your dullness would affect my child's intelligence."
Andrew appeared as though he'd just heard the most absurd joke. With an IQ of 167, he quipped, "Your justifications for turning someone down are beyond belief."
Penelope's eyes narrowed, "Really? I've heard you're struggling with a challenging project at work. Isn't it because you lack the intellect?"
Andrew instantly recognized she was referring to the competition with Morgan Bank over the options. He had indeed faced difficulties, planning to show his capabilities soon.
This project was undeniably challenging. He attempted various methods, yet Morgan had him cornered, leaving him unable to move.
Penelope was growing frustrated with the other party's overbearing nature and was gearing up to display his capabilities to them.
With newfound determination, Andrew vowed, "Goddess, I'll secure that project, proving my prowess."
Penelope slept soundly that night.
The following day, she yawned her way to the living room.
Kevin stood there, ready and waiting. "Miss Reed, I'm Kevin, here to assist you,"
He introduced himself briskly, without any flattery, aligning with Penelope's preference for professionalism.
“Okay, I see.”
Acknowledging him, Penelope's eyes fell on a table full of gifts, presumably from Vincent.
She effortlessly leaned back into the sofa, selecting one of the watches and flipping it open. Encased within was a Chopard timepiece adorned with 201 grams of dazzling diamonds. Its brilliance was undeniable, radiating an exquisite allure. A conservative estimate would easily place its value around 300 million.
Slipping it onto her wrist and admiring it, Penelope smiled with contentment. Big Brother's impeccable taste remained unchanged.
Upon their arrival at the company,
While Kevin efficiently briefed her on the morning's data in the CEO's office, Penelope confirmed everything was in order.
Meanwhile, Carlos barged in past the secretary, causing a stir.
