Penelope raised an eyebrow, her face adorned with mockery. "But that doesn't include the store manager personally attending."

"Of course." Her gaze shifted. "If both of you spend fifty million in the store today, I can certainly assist you as the store manager."

As a minor heiress of the Mendez family, she had little money. She had let herself spend an extra thirty million last time and wagered that Kyla might be tight on funds now.

"Don't you think so?" He took a sip of the alcohol, questioning Dominic. "You kept this marriage hidden from the entire Seattle. Wasn't it just because marrying her embarrassed you?"

Dominic felt a gnawing frustration inside, pulling at his tie in irritation.

His initial decision to hide the marriage was more for Penelope's sake. The title of Mrs. Archer would only bring unnecessary attention to Penelope, affecting her daily life.
