In the center of the commercial street, a standalone five-story building, entirely made of glass, stood prominently.
Today, it marked the reopening of Megan's boutique.
The graduation project, untouched for three years, was now resurrected.
The interior was uniquely decorated with a better location and more space than three years ago.
Bright lights illuminated meticulously selected high-end clothing and jewelry. The simple glass exterior showcased the boutique's distinct taste to everyone passing by.
Even before officially opening, a queue had formed outside. All the young ladies waiting had prominent family backgrounds, identified by their appointment numbers.
Today, Megan called Penelope from the company to help with customer styling.
It was a busy morning, and now, with fewer people around during lunchtime, Penelope and Megan took a moment to rest.
Megan hugged Penelope's arm. "Darling, does today feel like the old times?"
"Yeah, it's like we suddenly went back three years." Penelope smiled faintly, patting Megan's cheek. "Darling, you're still as good as ever."
"Me too."
Megan went upstairs to check on things, leaving Penelope to rest.
Sitting alone on the sofa, Penelope casually noticed the figures of Danna and Kyla.
Danna wore a luxurious out-of-season dress, held a camera, and continuously took selfies in the store. She then edited the photos into a grid of nine and captioned it, "Shopping spree at this top-notch boutique..."
After posting on social media, she dragged Kyla around, excitedly exploring the store.
Danna took out a luxury item worth 1.8 million, gazing at Kyla with eager eyes. "Kyla, do I look good in this?"
The implication was clear, “You're my sister-in-law and still wealthy. How about buying me one?”
Kyla understood Danna's hint but was tight on funds these days. She was in a difficult period after spending 30 million on a bracelet last time.
Her capabilities fell short if she wanted to flaunt her wealth before her little sister-in-law.
Penelope's lips carried a mocking smile. "You deserve it?"
Danna was initially a paper tiger, but being choked by Penelope, she was dumbfounded and speechless.
Kyla smiled gently, walking forward. "Since Miss Reed is the store manager, her taste in styling must be exceptional. Could you help me choose a brighter outfit for the day I register my marriage in a few days?"
Thinking of making this woman serve her after being tricked of 30 million last time should be satisfying.
Penelope, lips tinged with sarcasm, eyes cold, sat on the sofa without moving.
"What's wrong? As the store manager, don't you even receive your customers?" Further provoked Penelope.
"No problem with letting me serve you." Penelope stood up from the sofa but just stood there without any further action. "I remember... there don't seem to be the two of you among today's reserved customers."
Kyla and Danna blushed immediately, feeling exposed, as if they were caught red-handed.
Indeed, the two of them were not on the invitation list. The reserved spots were obtained by paying a high price to someone else to join in today's excitement.
