Rebirth In Divorce My New Mr. Perfect (by Summer Knowles) novel Chapter 813

Vivian suppressed her disgust. "Don't you want Sarah? And I want Zachary. We'll find a way to drive a wedge between them. I don't need to teach you what to do after that—you've had plenty of practice breaking up couples."

Leon feigned innocence. "You can eat anything, but you can't say just anything. It's my irresistible charm that makes women flock to me."

His words nearly made Vivian sick. "Is narcissism just part of male nature?"

"Not always—only when facing men who are superior to them," Leon laughed.

That entire morning at the company, Vivian was listless.

Wilson Group was too conspicuous; every move required careful consideration.

One careless misstep, even a small one, could send everything tumbling into the abyss.

After much deliberation, Vivian decided on a risky strategy.

Since Zachary kept targeting Wilson Group, she would acquire other companies instead. As long as the connections and resources remained, reaching the top was inevitable.

With this thought, Vivian threw off her covers and began seriously planning her next "acquisition" strategy.

This time, she would personally drag Zachary down from his pedestal.

The market was flooded with registered small and medium enterprises, especially in H City, an important transportation hub.

But she couldn't just randomly acquire companies. Each had different starting points, and to rise as quickly as possible, the target company's systems had to be complete.

Vivian circled a key prospect on paper: Merihan Group, specializing in cargo transport and large-scale logistics.

The company had been public for quite some time, but recently encountered a thorny problem that tightened their cash flow.

Despite Merihan Group lowering their investment requirements to the minimum, the results weren't promising.

She had the marketing department conduct research to prevent the sold shares from being resold.

However, she held fewer shares than Mr. Wilson to begin with. Without affecting control of Wilson Group, she could only dispose of five percent of her shares, and the returned capital wasn't nearly enough to acquire Merihan Group.

Left with no choice, she had to discuss it with Leon.

"Miss Wilson has grand ambitions, but even if you gather enough funding, how can you guarantee Merihan Group will agree to your acquisition?" Leon looked at Vivian with some distrust.

Though they were partners, he still couldn't be sure Vivian actually had business acumen.

Vivian knew what Leon was thinking. She said gently, "Mr. Leon, whether it's acquisition or anything else, it all comes down to gambling. Why are you afraid to take a chance?"

Leon looked at Vivian and burst into laughter. "Naturally I'm not afraid to gamble, but with this much money involved, I have to be cautious. After all, you're not talking about a few tens of millions here."
