"Mr. Wilson, how have you been?"
"Very well. Zachary, You finally found the time to come."
Both sides exchanged pleasantries as if there had never been any friction between them. Sarah stood gracefully beside Zachary, appearing completely non-threatening.
James stared from the side, having never seen Sarah look so stunning. He couldn't help but take two steps forward, but before he could speak, someone beside him pulled him back.
Charlotte nervously watched James, gripping his hand tighter and tighter.
Zachary seemed completely oblivious as he continued chatting and laughing with Mr. Wilson, while Sarah couldn't help but glance back a few times.
The other guests had already started gossiping. After all, everyone knew about the awkward situation between Zachary, Sarah, and Vivian.
Now that Zachary had cancelled his engagement to Vivian, after days of no response, he had actually come to Vivian's birthday party. What was even more puzzling was that he had brought Sarah with him.
"Looks like Mr. Reynolds really does like Miss Sanders. He even brought her to Miss Wilson's birthday party."
"No wonder she was his rumored girlfriend from the beginning. It seems Mr. Reynolds and Miss Sanders never broke contact."
"Wonder what kind of battlefield it'll be when Miss Wilson comes out."
...
Mr. Wilson stood up. “Zachary, why don't you and Miss Sanders find somewhere to sit? I'll go check on Vivian."
When he mentioned Vivian, he glanced at Zachary a couple of times, but disappointingly, Zachary's expression didn't change at all.
Sarah followed Zachary to stand aside for a while, but didn't see Vivian anywhere.
"Where is she?"
"Probably still getting ready. The party hasn't officially started yet," Zachary said.
She gripped her dress tightly, unable to believe that Zachary had actually brought that person with him.
He clearly knew how much she hated Sarah. Today was her most important moment, and he had actually brought her along!
Why? Why did he have to treat her this way?
Vivian was so anguished she almost threw her phone down, but Leon suddenly appeared and brought back a trace of her rationality.
"Miss Wilson, see someone you know?"
"Naturally, I saw someone I absolutely despise." Her gaze began to turn sharp.
Leon looked in the direction she was staring and only saw that woman.
Strong people always had inexplicable hostility toward other strong people. The moment Leon laid eyes on Zachary, he knew this man wouldn't be easy to deal with.
