Back in Country H, he had often heard people mention Zachary. The name “Zachary Reynolds” had spread throughout the business world—some called him a genius, others called him a predator.
A man always pays special attention to other men who are stronger than himself, and Leon had long been intensely interested in Zachary.
He looked at him—sharp features, such good looks and physique. Just these two qualities alone made him mad with jealousy.
Under the bright lights, the person beside Zachary was particularly dazzling. He couldn't help but look over, and at the same time noticed that most of the men in the entire venue had their gazes fixed on the woman beside Zachary.
Even he, upon seeing that exquisite face and perfect figure, couldn't help but be deeply attracted.
"Who is that woman?" His interest was piqued.
When Vivian heard his question, she immediately looked over and snorted coldly. "You mean her? That's Sarah, a... slut."
"It seems you have quite a grudge against this Miss Sanders," Leon said with interest.
Vivian said softly, "Haven't you heard any gossip about her in Country H? This Miss Sanders has countless scandals. She has quite a few stories too."
"If you're willing to tell them, I'd love to hear."
"See that man with the wine glass not far from Zachary? That's this Miss Sanders' ex-husband. Even after their divorce and his remarriage, he still can't forget her. Tell me, how great is her charm?" Vivian's eyes were full of disdain.
Leon’s interest grew even stronger. Under the bright lights, standing upstairs, he could see everyone in the hall clearly, especially this Miss Sanders—even her individual eyelashes were distinct.
The red dress made her skin look snow-white, and her flowing hair added an intellectual beauty.
Leon escorted her to center stage, then stepped away from the middle.
Vivian walked to the center, picked up the microphone, and her red lips parted softly. "Thank you all for taking time out of your busy schedules to attend my birthday party. Everyone here tonight is a good friend of the Wilson family. Seeing so many familiar and new faces makes me very moved..."
She spoke eloquently on stage while Mr. Wilson looked at his granddaughter with satisfaction as she controlled the whole situation, though his gaze unconsciously drifted to Zachary.
At today's event, Vivian had perfectly demonstrated the transition between a career woman and high emotional intelligence. This kind of crowd control ability was definitely not something a newcomer could possess, and certainly not something Sarah could match.
