Rebirth In Divorce My New Mr. Perfect (by Summer Knowles) novel Chapter 790

She couldn't wait to rush back to her room and carefully laid them out on the bed like treasures.

Feelings could be cultivated gradually. If she could make James look good in front of everyone, she refused to believe he wouldn't soften.

Charlotte acted on impulse and hurriedly tried on the gowns.

She had to try them all to see which one looked best.

However, when she stood in front of the full-length mirror and saw her figure up close, she froze completely.

Charlotte's eyes widened in disbelief at the person in the mirror.

She stepped back until she tripped and fell onto the bed, finally accepting that the woman with the distorted figure in the mirror was herself.

How could this be?

Charlotte's hands trembled as she stripped off all her clothes. The soft flesh around her waist had formed two layers, covered with dense fine lines that looked particularly hideous.

She gently touched the marks, then frantically rubbed her skin as if possessed, not stopping even when it became red and swollen.

These were stretch marks. She had seen these terrifying lines at the hospital, but the doctor had said they would fade later.

These past days, all she had thought about was how to win James back, never properly taking care of her own body.

Under the dual pressure of James and the baby, she was finally driving herself crazy. Before the pain could overwhelm her, she looked toward the shapewear hanging in the deepest part of her closet.

At the Reynolds house.

After the last treatment session for Mia, she hadn't gone back with Sarah that night and had been staying at the Reynolds house for the past two days.

"Zachary, I feel much better. How is Sarah?" Mia pestered Zachary with questions.

He had tried these past days, but Sarah's heart seemed completely closed off to him.

"Zachary, you're not going to give up, are you? You absolutely can't give up! You've been pursuing her for so long! I don't care—you can't give up," Mia said with wide eyes.

Zachary shook his head with a bitter smile. "I won't give up."

His heart had been decided years ago. Sarah was the only one in his heart—there was no room for anyone else.

"That's good. Don't forget what you promised me—to make Sarah my sister-in-law. You almost fooled me before, but you can't fool me again this time," Mia pouted.

Remembering something she'd seen on her phone about Vivian's birthday, she asked curiously, "Zachary, are you going to attend Vivian's birthday party?"

"You know about this?" He didn't seem to have mentioned this to Mia.
