“Because he didn’t play fair.”

Jensina wasn’t surprised.

He always just did whatever he wanted, not someone who cared about reason.

Jensina told Gertrude about the dinner tonight. Gertrude felt like something was off. She thought for a bit, “Obviously, Eduardo could have taken you home, but Mr. Herring took the job instead.”

“You said, could he have been trying to be nice?”
