Chapter 41

Besides Jensina, did he have any other girls around him?
Coleman’s tall body tensed up a bit. His natural wariness made him stop what he was doing. His eyes looked dark and hard to read, but his tone stayed the same, “You forgot your nickname?”
“Ah?”
Juanita hesitated for a moment, a flash of panic in her eyes, then forced herself to stay calm and said, “I didn’t forget, it’s just that no one has called me that in a long time, so I didn’t react.”
“Really?”
“Of course it was true.”
Her heart was pounding, and her eyes were getting red.“After Mom and Dad died, who else would call me that… Coleman, it’s been twenty years… It’s normal that I forgot, right?”
In the blink of an eye, tears rolled down.“Did you doubt me just because of this?”
“How could that be? Don’t overthink it.”
Coleman held back his doubts, wiped the tears off her face, looking gentle, “It’s getting late, go put Josh to bed.”
Juanita saw he looked normal and let out a sigh of relief, “What about you?”
*I… still had some work stuff. I went to bed after I finished.”
Coleman put the clover pendant into his pants pocket, “I accidentally broke the clasp just now. I’ll have Raymond take it to the jewelry store to get it fixed tomorrow. I’ll give it back to you after it’s fixed.”
When he finished speaking, he took the fruit plate Juanita handed over and went back to the study.
Almost the moment the door closed, a call went out.
There was no emotion left on Coleman’s sharp face, and his voice sounded cold:“Raymond, you go to Miami yourself and help me check Juanita’s background carefully.”
“Be sure not to miss any details.”
“Yes.”
Raymond agreed and couldn’t help asking, “Why check after all these years? Is something wrong?”
Coleman said, “Not sure, you check first.”
Hope, he was just overthinking it..
Gertrude, who was next to me, also heard Coleman’s last sentence on the phone.
She listened with a frown. She never expected someone as gentlemanly as Coleman could be such a jerk and act like it was totally fine.
He was a bit confused by Jensina’s reaction, “Why not just say yes?”
“It would be a hassle.”
Jensina put her phone aside, sat cross–legged on the couch, and said, “I went to the Hardwick family at noon. His mom said they could get the divorce certificate done in four days at the latest.”
“No need to go through him anymore.”
She didn’t want to create any more uncertainties for herself.
It was pretty good like this.

< Chapter 41
The next day, Jensina went to the clinic to meet up with Eduardo first, then they went to the Herring Group together.
These years, she passed by here countless times, but she never went in, even avoided it.
If it hadn’t been for that time in Germany, she might have hoped she’d never run into Stanley again in her life.
“Jensina?”
After getting out of the car, Eduardo saw her lost in thought and smiled, asking, “What are you thinking about?”
Jensina pulled her thoughts back and shook her head, “No. I just didn’t expect that one day I’d be part of a project this big.”
Cancer drug development.
The government’s top medical projects for the next three years.
Once she succeeded, maybe she…
I really got my freedom.
When they arrived, the other members of the R&D team were already waiting in the meeting room.
People doing R&D didn’t talk that much crap.

The real communication all happened during the R&D process. At the very beginning, there wasn’t much to talk about. We just got to know each other a bit, and then someone took Jensina and her team to get familiar with the lab.
Besides Jensina and Eduardo, there were three other men in their thirties or forties on the Traditional Medicine Team.
“Damn it, I was almost forty and ended up working as an assistant for some girl in her twenties.”
“Oh, you didn’t like that?”
“I didn’t buy it, did you?”
“I didn’t accept it either.”
The two of them were in the corner of the lab, taking turns making Jensina uncomfortable, “But what can you do, maybe she’s got some kind of connection, these days, it’s easier for women to get ahead than men.”
put on
Eduardo put on a cold face and was going to argue with them.
Jensina stopped him and didn’t care, “Eduardo, the only thing that could shut them up was something I made myself.”
Otherwise, the more you said, the more guilty you looked to others.
She had already read the backgrounds of those two men on her way here, so she was confident she could make them shut
Jensina didn’t do anything else first, but walked over to the medicine cabinet and checked things one by one.
Eduardo asked, “Do we need to use so many kinds of medicine?”
“Not really.”
Jensina explained, “The herbs at the clinic were checked by our teacher from the start, and after that, the supplier always followed that standard, so it didn’t affect the effectiveness.”
“But for the Herring Group, we needed to check it ourselves first.”
The color, texture, and age, even whether it was wild or farmed, all affected how well the medicine worked.
In this respect, herb R&D was harder than chemical medicine.
Hearing that, Eduardo felt a bit embarrassed, “All these years, I never got into that habit.”
“That’s normal, you were the boss.”
Jensina gave a teasing laugh, “If you don’t keep an eye on these things, someone else will.”

< Chapter 41
Eduardo looked at her and chuckled, “Then you gotta help me keep an eye on the clinic.”
“Don’t worry.”
Jensina talked while smelling the herb in her hand.
Those two guys saw her doing the purchasing work, and looked even more contemptuous. They just slouched in their chairs, bored, playing
games.
Jensina didn’t care at all, she just focused on her own stuff.
After checking the herbs, I discussed the development plan with Eduardo.
When he saw how lively she looked when she was focused, Eduardo zoned out for a second and almost couldn’t keep up with her train of thought.
It wasn’t until it got dark and someone knocked on the lab door that Jensina finally stopped working.
At the door stood an elegant, classy woman in a silk blouse and a fitted skirt, smiling warmly and confidently, “Everyone, to celebrate the official launch of our project team, Mr. Herring booked a private room at Ethoth Restaurant to treat us to dinner.”
The project leader was a bit surprised and agreed right away, “Okay. Marisol, thank Mr. Herring for us.”
Marisol Hensley smiled, “Mr. Herring would show up in person, so you could thank him face to face.”
“Really?”
Someone was shocked.
Out of all the projects in the group, Stanley only checked on a few.
