Chapter 38
“Yeah.”

That girl only found out last time when she overheard Jensina and Bridget talking. She lowered her voice and said, “But Sina probably didn’t want too many people to know. I just heard it by accident too.”
“You guys don’t tell anyone else.”
“Don’t worry.”
Juanita patted her shoulder and got up eagerly, “I’m full, you guys take your time.”
She walked out of the cafeteria, her eyes squinting happily, and turned to call Coleman.
“Coleman! I just heard something. I haven’t figured out if I should tell you, but I feel like I shouldn’t keep it from you…”
Coleman was in a meeting, speaking gently, What’s up?”
“Jensina and Eduardo, their relationship probably really wasn’t simple.”
Coleman frowned a little and was about to say something when Juanita said, “I heard she told the people at the clinic herself that she was already divorced.”
“Everyone knew about this. When I first heard it, I was really shocked too.”
Coleman jumped up and walked around the meeting room, “What did you say?”
“Coleman…”
Juanita said carefully, “You might have been cheated on.”
Jensina, who had cheated on someone, was driving to the Hardwick’s mansion.
Early this morning, Estella called and asked her to come over, saying that for that previous verbal agreement, it was still better to sign a contract.
Jensina didn’t object either.
She got the house and the money for real, and as long as she signed a contract, she was willing to cooperate.
She had just finished eating, then went back to the clinic, grabbed her bag, and left.
The Hardwick’s mansion was really quiet at this hour.
Eliza used to take naps and was a light sleeper, so the servants did everything quietly and didn’t dare make any noise.
As soon as Jensina arrived, the butler took her to the tea room.
Because of what happened last time when she asked for way too much, Estella was a lot colder and handed her the agreement she’d already prepared.
“Just sign it.”
Jensina’s smooth fingertips pinched the first page of the contract and flipped it open. She got straight to the point and asked, “When can the divorce certificate be ready?”
“Are you in such a hurry?”
Estella stared at her, like she had never really seen her before, “Did you feel wronged marrying into the Hardwick family? Jensina, ask yourself, all these years, has the Hardwick family ever treated you badly?”
This sentence sounded especially familiar to Jensina.
After thinking for a while, I finally remembered that last time when I went back to the Herring family, I just heard Madam Herring say it.
Everyone just asked her this question so confidently.
What about her?

Did she treat anyone badly?
But she didn’t want to get stuck in this kind of back–and–forth about needing to prove herself.

Jensina lowered her eyes a little and said without much emotion, “Estella, the divorce papers not getting done for so long didn’t really affect me.” “But if you did that, it would affect your search for Cole’s next wife. What normal family would let their daughter hang out with a married
man?
These words really spoke to Estella.
Her face looked a bit better. “Don’t worry, I want the divorce papers even more than you do. At the latest, it’ll be around Grandma’s 80th birthday.”
That was soon.
Madam Hardwick’s 80th birthday was just four days away.
Jensina didn’t ask anything else. Her finger landed on one of the terms in the agreement. “If this one doesn’t change, I can’t sign.”
It said in the terms that before Estella allowed it, Jensina couldn’t tell Coleman about the divorce.
It was all normal up to this point.
But the second half was, if Coleman found out about the divorce in advance, it counted as Jensina breaking the contract, and the penalty was fifty million.
Before Estella lost it, Jensina spoke up calmly:
“I could only promise that I wouldn’t bring this up to Coleman myself, but if he guessed it, or heard it from someone else, that was out of my control.
“You didn’t say, I didn’t say, how else could he have known?”
Estella sure didn’t want to make any changes, “Jensina, our Hardwick family’s money didn’t just blow in with the wind…”
She hadn’t finished speaking when Jensina’s phone suddenly rang.
Caller ID, Coleman.
As soon as she picked up, Coleman’s voice came through, “Sina, why are people saying we got divorced?”
Jensina didn’t go out of her way to avoid Estella, and both of them heard this sentence loud and clear.
Estella frowned and warned her not to tell the truth.
She pressed her lips together lightly, sounding totally calm, “Who’s spreading that? How could I get divorced all by myself?”
“Where were you?”
“Having tea with mom at the old house. Jensina sounded obedient.
Hearing that, Coleman felt a bit more at ease, checked the time, and said, “I’ll come pick you up and take you home after I’m done.”
“Okay.”
Jensina agreed obediently, hung up the phone, and looked at Estella, “See, it wasn’t me who said it.”
Estella took a deep breath and told the butler to get the lawyer in. She had the terms changed right there.
After we signed the agreement, I heard Eliza’s voice from the living room.
Estella said, “Grandma’s blood pressure was always unstable. I haven’t told her about the divorce yet, so don’t let it slip either.”
Jensina agreed and went out to have tea and chat with Eliza.
Eliza actually liked her and kept holding her hand, chattering on.

As they talked, after Jensina took her pulse, she couldn’t help but remind her, “Grandma, you have underlying health issues, so you really need to watch your diet. Stay away from greasy and fatty foods.”
Oh no, how come you were just like Estella, not allowed to nag grandma!”
Eliza pretended to be angry as she looked at her, trying to use her status as an elder to pressure her.
