...And by the time she realized what was happening, it was already too late. The chain holding the giant chandelier that was right above Zivon had snapped without warning!
Naturally, both women went pale with fear as they screamed for him to move out of the way! Xavia even tried to rush over to push him away, but alas, she was too filled with fear to even move an inch! In that split second, her mind played all the different ways Zivon could die if the chandelier crashed down on him… She… She couldn’t let him get hurt before she died…!
The chandelier was only inches above Zivon’s head when Xavia snapped out of it… But when that happened, her eyes instantly widened as a series of quickfire events took place before her…!
First came the sound of a loud thud hitting the ground… following that was the sound of a shattering cup… And finally, the chandelier crashed to the floor with a deafening echo…! It took her quite a while to finally register that Zivon was fine… However, that meant that…
Looking at the chaotic scene, it was evident that the person who had pushed Zivon away at the last moment was Fiona…! She had risked her life just to save him…!
Zivon himself was slightly taken aback, but he quickly recovered and walked over to Fiona while asking, “…Did you hurt yourself, Miss Squire?”
Even before Fiona replied, Zivon was already scanning her legs that were directly under the chandelier… Shockingly enough, the spacing between each light was just enough to spare Fiona’s legs from any major damage. However, she still suffered several glass cuts, and her stockings were now reddened with blood…
Either way, Nathan could tell what Zivon was thinking, and he instantly felt a shiver run down his spine. Come to think of it, maybe it was for the best that Zivon had been standing underneath the chandelier instead of Xavia… Otherwise, there was a high chance that he’d kill him on the spot…!
Not even daring to think about that outcome, Nathan was quick to order the bodyguards to remove the chandelier.
As for Zivon, he began calling for an ambulance. Though he could’ve easily pulled her out first, he wasn’t willing to risk hurting her more, especially since there were probably more glass shards lying on the floor…
