The next day brought clear skies and beautiful weather. The sun shone brightly, the spring flowers were in full bloom, and the surrounding atmosphere was full of life.
In just a few days, the peach blossoms in the hospital garden had already bloomed, and the apricot trees beside them had started to bud, their vibrant color captivating.
Brad stood by the window, dressed in casual clothes rather than his hospital gown, gazing down the hallway through the glass. Last night had been a disaster. He'd let his anger get the better of him and grabbed Nadine by the neck. He wasn't sure if she would even show up for work that day.
At the time, he was consumed by rage, and he wasn't sure if he had hurt her. He hated her for using him as Jack's replacement, yet a part of him still worried about her.
He couldn't explain the knot of emotions churning inside him. All he knew was that it left him irritable as hell.
Just then, Cameron pushed open the hospital room door and walked in with a stack of documents. He stopped in his tracks near the door when he noticed Brad standing by the window with a stormy expression. For a moment, he didn't dare approach Brad as he was afraid of provoking him and getting scolded.
Cameron was about to speak up when Brad turned around and looked at him. "What is it?"
Cameron studied his face carefully before handing him the stack of documents. "Mr. Hamilton, I've found some information about what happened six years ago."
After talking to Julia last time, Cameron looked into the hotel staff from that night again. Julia was sure that the young lady who had been dragged into the neighboring room was wearing the hotel's uniform. Even though it was just a quick glance, she was certain about it.
