Passionate Devotion: Master Fudd's Beloved Wife novel Chapter 952

In Shania's office.

Shania had finished a three hour conversation with Boyle. They had spent two full days watching every single video recording Cherie made.

The videos were about her love, the hate and her dependency on Boyle.

She even cut her wrist and cursed Boyle for abandoning her.

After watching every single video, Shania understood why Cherie's severe depression deteriorated to the extent of attempting suicide in a bathtub, and why she got schizophrenia.

The bond both Cherie and Boyle had for each other were as if they were chained to each other to the point that her condition spiralled out of control to such a serious extent.

Shania let out a long sigh as she sat on her chair. She rewatched Cherie's sucide videos again as she did a thorough analysis on Cherie's behaviors and motives.

It seemed that her case was interesting and very complicated to treat.

Although Shania had treated plenty of patients whose mental health deteriorated as a result of their relationship problems back then, she never encountered any cases that were as serious as Cherie's.

However, it seemed after the three hour long conversation she had with Boyle, it had proven the suspicions Shania had before.

Cherie was a madwoman but Boyle was not perfect either. 'Paranoia' and 'crazy man' were often used to describe Boyle.

However, Boyle did not have signs of any serious mental disorders. He was only obsessively possessive over things.

Only people as possessive as Boyle would be able to accept someone who was as serious as Cherie with her condition.

It seemed Boyle was obsessively possessive and Cherie was none other than a mental health patient.

Truly, they were a perfect match for each other.

In an executive meeting amongst medical personnel.

Shania opened up some Powerpoint slides as she said, "I've basically more or less understood Cherie's psychiatric disorder. We will spilt her treatment into two parts. One will be focused on treating her severe depression that she's been plagued by for so many years. The other would be treating her schizophrenia. Have you guys all seen the patient's video recordings? Does anyone have anything to say about them?"

"Chancellor Shania, I believe President Lawson has to be treated as well."

Shania was stunned as she asked, "Why? I need a valid reason."

"After watching more than a thousand video recordings of the patient and having an understanding of their relationship, I realized that their ailments tied them together. They've depended too much on each other and no normal couple would behave like this. If they don't stop, there's a possibility Cherie may have suicidal tendencies again in the future unless Cherie never parts with President Lawson."

Shania disagreed as she raised her brows and teased, "Dr. Zack, I'm not sure if you knew that they were already planning to marry each other."

Dr. Jay asked with a frown, "But based on Cherie's records, her hallucinations only started a few months ago. Since this happened to be a traumatic experience she encountered seven years ago, why has the hallucination only manifested itself now, seven years later?"

Shania replied after some thought, "Because Cherie only reunited with Boyle, her first love seven years later. I'm guessing that because of the loving environment she's in after her reunion with Boyle, that triggered the trauma of the miscarriage she had seven years ago. The more affection she receives, the more guilty she'll feel. Both emotions are considered as extreme emotions and after being forced by two polarizing emotions, Little Bean Sprout was manifested by her. Therefore, it caused Cherie to have more frequent self-harming tendencies."

"Why the hypothesis, Chancellor Shania?"

Shania replied, "Because, Cherie's first encounter with Little Bean Sprout happens to be in Capital City University and that was the same place their relationship first started. It's not odd to have Little Bean Sprout manifest itself in such a sentimental location.

"Cherie moved in with Boyle soon after their relationship blossomed. The apartment they shared is located in Greentown and it's very close to Capital City University. Thus, her hallucinations happened more frequently then since she was determined to have Little Bean Sprout live near the Greentown Condominium. It's only more evident when the unit and block number of where Little Bean Sprout lives just so happen to be exactly the same as Boyle's unit and block number.

"Capital City University and Greentown Condominium are where both Cherie and Boyle share the most memories together seven years ago. This is why Little Bean Sprout would manifest itself there.

"The main reason for the manifestation of Little Bean Sprout is a form of coping mechanism for her. It's to lessen the guilt Cherie felt on the inside. Hence, her hallucinations.”

Shania paused and continued in a slightly more serious tone, "This meant, Cherie's ability to survive till this very day is all thanks to Little Bean Sprout. Cherie's tendency to protect Little Bean Sprout and her self harm is a way for her to lessen the amount of guilt she felt on the inside.

"Moreover, the last accident she had before she was sent to the hospital was Cherie's own twisted way to commit suicide. She wanted to use the excuse of protecting Little Bean Sprout as a way to finally be free of her pain.

"As for why she chose to die from a car crash and not from a direct suicide attempt though… well, maybe her family will feel less guilty and sad if her death was a result of a car crash."

After explaining a whole bunch of assumptions and hypotheses, Shania let out a long winded sigh and started zoning out as she got lost in her head.
