Cherie rushed over to find out what exactly was going on when she heard the commotion. She was instantly greeted by the scene of Sherry walking into the river. The water level had already reached her neck.
Sherry did not know how to swim.
"Sherry! Sherry!"
While Cherie was calling out to her, she also hastily called the police department and an ambulance.
When Boyle could no longer see them from his black Spyker, he got out of the car and followed along the river to look for them. However, he was soon greeted by the panicked sounds of Cherie calling for help.
Boyle was startled and immediately rushed over.
After Cherie was done calling the local authorities, she wanted to look for a rope to save both Andy and Sherry but bumped into Boyle.
Boyle held onto her shoulder and asked, "What happened?"
Cherie replied in a panicked voice, "Sherry jumped into the river. She doesn't know how to swim."
Boyle glanced toward the middle of the river and noticed the water had already flooded over both Sherry's and Andy's heads. Although Andy knew how to swim, he was also being pulled underwater.
Boyle spoke in a calm tone, "Stay here and don't go anywhere. I'll save them."
Boyle dove into the river and saved them in a very swift and fluid manner.
Sherry violently pushed Andy away in the middle of the river as she flailed her arms around and sank deeper. Boyle swam over to them and grabbed Sherry.
He then told Andy, "Hold her arms down to stop her from moving around so much."
Boyle and Andy then grabbed onto each of Sherry's arms and pulled her out of the river.
However, the trio had all swallowed some river water, especially Sherry since she had completely lost consciousness when she was dragged to shore.
Andy knelt by her side and did some hard chest compressions while calling out to her, "Wake up, Sherry! Sherry! Sherry!"
Andy was performing CPR on her.
Sherry woke up and instantly started to cough violently which caused her to cough out water.
Andy stared at her with a concerned look as he asked, "How are you feeling, Sherry?"
After Sherry finished coughing out water, she finally snapped out of her trance while being tightly embraced by Andy.
Sherry sobbed as she said, "I'm sorry… I'm so sorry…"
The couple embraced each other tightly.
Cherie was relieved to see Sherry was fine while she let out a sigh of relief.
Boyle's throat felt uncomfortable since he was also choking on water. As a result, he let out a few violent coughs beside her.
While Boyle stared at her back, he realized he might have gone too far when he pranked her, so he hastily strode over to her.
Cherie was walking at a really fast pace. However, it seemed that the faster she walked, the more violent her mixed emotions raged within her.
She was not too sure exactly how she felt as she started to tear up while desperately trying to wipe her tears away.
She was furious and felt extremely awful.
Boyle caught up to her, grabbed her wrist, and immediately pulled her into him before embracing her tightly.
Cherie clenched her fists as she hammered and pounded his chest while glaring at him with her furious and teary eyes. She was breathing heavily and seemed to be fuming with rage.
Boyle did not expect to actually make her cry.
The man wiped her tears away with his fingertip and said, "It's okay, Cherie. Don't cry."
Cherie flung his hands away and started wiping her tears with her sleeves.
Boyle pulled her arms aside and spoke in a gentle tone, "You'll hurt your eyes like that."
"It's none of your business!"
Boyle sighed while his heart wrenched as he held onto the back of her head and stared intensely at her. "Why did you cry?”
