Both Cherie and Sherry embraced each other when they met.
Sherry hugged her boyfriend's arm as she introduced him to Cherie, "Hey, Cherie, this is my boyfriend, Andy."
Andy seemed like a bright ray of sunshine as he greeted Cherie. "Greetings. Sherry often talks about you. Thanks for taking care and comforting her while she was sick."
A black Spyker was parked nearby.
Boyle watched the trio from a nearby distance.
Sherry suggested, "Hey, let's head over there for a picnic. I've brought some stuff over for a barbeque."
The trio then got into the same car.
Boyle started tailing behind the white Audi.
…
The sun was shining bright and the wind felt refreshing in the park when they arrived.
Andy went ahead to set the table.
On the other hand, Cherie was sitting by the stairs under some trees in the park and had some small talk with Sherry.
Cherie asked with a smile while staring at the nearby Andy who was busy setting the table, "How long have you guys been dating?"
Sherry's eyes seemed to be glimmering as she replied in an extremely cheerful tone, "We met at a bar in New York. He's a singer in the bar and super talented."
Cherie asked, "Does he know about your condition then?"
Sherry stared at her with a warm and gentle gaze as she replied, "He does and even saved my life once. My depression had relapsed somehow and I suddenly felt like giving up on life entirely, so I ran up to the top floor and wanted to jump to my death. Fortunately, he was there to stop me."
Cherie commented, "He's such a great guy."
Sherry teased and said, "Well, if you say that he's a great guy, then he must really be one. I trust your judgment but...sometimes, I feel really guilty for not being good enough for him. He's a healthy person but I might lose control and start having suicidal tendencies at any random moment. I’m afraid of dragging him down with me."
Sherry started to cry as she spoke.
"There's hope for you both since he's willing to stay by your side while you get better."
Sherry shook her head with a smile as she said, "You know first-hand just how complicated my condition is. If there is a day that I suddenly leave this world, I’ll at least be happy and not feel like I've wasted my life since I know I spent my final moments with him."
After Andy was done setting up everything for the barbeque, he called the girls over, "Hey, you girls can come over now and start grilling whatever you both like. I'm done with the setup."
Sherry and Cherie stood up and walked over to him.
Boyle who was standing underneath a nearby tree had been watching them the entire time.
He never left.
While they were still grilling, Cherie had to excuse herself, so she told Sherry and Andy, "I need to pick up a phone call, I'll be right back."
Cherie walked over to a nearby weeping willow tree and picked up a phone call by Little Bean Sprout.
Little Bean Sprout sounded quite depressed through the phone. "Why didn't you call me for such a long time already, Sister Jelly Bean?"
Cherie was stunned as she replied with a smile, "Oh, you. I've just returned to the country recently and have plenty of work to do. I’ll call you even more often next time, okay?"
Cherie returned to Sherry after the phone call ended. She joined them in their barbeque hang out.
…
Boyle, who was sitting in the black Spyker, watched Cherie have an amazing time with her friends.
He laid his head back on his hands by the cushion of his seat, watching and observing the nearby woman while he relaxed.
After their little picnic was done, they started chatting amongst themselves on the little picnic blanket they brought.
Sherry excused herself to use the washroom.
Both Andy and Cherie started packing their things and cleaning up after themselves.
However, Sherry still had not returned even after they were done cleaning up.
Andy was concerned, so he said, "Sherry isn't back yet. I'll check on her."
"Alright."
Andy rushed over to the washroom but he soon realized that Sherry was walking toward the river.
Andy yelled at the river, "Sherry! Sherry! Hurry up and come back to us!"
However, Sherry seemed like she was in a complete trance and could not hear a thing he said to her as she continued to walk herself into the river.
Andy immediately jumped into the river and swam toward her.
